edit: nevermind. They just explained in on Kripps stream, how you'll be able to get a power charge by using Ice Spear but you just won't be able to do damage with them.

i tweaked abit this , i dont want to use inner force since i will only use 2 or max 3 auras( purity/ disc/ clarity) . My question is : the nodes like : increase elemental dmg with wand wont work with spark/totem right? those work with power siphon kind of builds.

And if the 3 point spent in cast speed near witch tree are wrong , i could spend them in the _+ light dmg in templar area.

General strategy:

Normal - Create 2-3 shadows at the beginning to get freezing pulse and 2-3 bear traps. Play the build like any freezing pulse build through normal.

what skill to create shadow?

So, I didnt have time to try it out yet since I am european, Did someone already test whether or not the idea I stated works? I saw that the crit chance fpr the support is extremly high (40%+ without quality) so it should be pretty easy to generate charges.

How about LMP? Does it generate one per attack (so 1 charge) or one per criting projectile (so 3 charges per cast)?

@deentemp The thing is that this new change opens a lot of ways to specc. You could go for another Aura like Haste (I already figured out that this might not be effective if you play solo) but you will have approximately 9 more nodes to spend for whatever the hell you want. You could keep all the crit, I just dont see a point in doing so. You dont need 60-70% crit on Spark, 40% are enough and the Powercharges + gear make sure you have that amount.

You could go into cast speed, more ES, more resistances (highly unlikely), more mana ......... Its really hard to figure out what would suit you most right now, guess you have to decide that for yourself if you need survivability, damage or utility.

no1 tested it ? uff seems like i have to do some work myself lol!

Currently i have 8k es with chayula on and 8,25k whitout it.

even if my spark tooltip dps is only 400, the kill speed is not as bad as i thought it would be.

Ok so apparently, according to my testing it seems like LMP still grants only 1 charge per cast, and it works pretty efficiently, since in the build there is already 1 extra power charge that was taken as a short cut.
With a level 1 ice spear lmp increased critical strikes power charges on crit, it is pretty easy to keep the charges up once they are there (with only 30% crit).
I tried to replace ice spear with Power Syphon but Ice Spear works better in my opinion.

Also quality on power charge on critical is 1 % per quality, so a quality gem will work even better.

Edit : I just saw that quality on additional accuracy is 2% crit chance per 1% quality, so maybe PS could work better. I don't have a quality additional accuracy though ...

Ye I know the "increased critical strikes" is the critical chance gem.

I think it really should be used with Ice Spear finally, because you benefit from cast speed and crit chance for spells which you wouldn't with power syphon.

I don't think it should be replacing any support on spark though.
Just blast those ice spears everyonce in a while and the charges should stay up.

PS : I am only level 55, so it might not be true for higher levels.

Using ICS on a ice-spear is a complete waste of a skillslot IF you have specced some points in crit chance earlier on in the game..
600% increased crit is a MASSIVE boost in itself, so much that i dare to say it will more or less crit in 8/10 casts...
