can you update your Build on new 1.2 Tree ?

I'm currently using a shadow build and have started to explore the new tree. I did a quick build that probably isn't 100% efficient just to compare to what I currently have. I still have 11 points to spend in the new tree compared to my 117 point current tree build.
My initial impression is that this is a substantial buff to the build with a few question marks. 1. There is obviously a lot less life. I'm grabbing as much life as I can and am only getting ~+100% life compared to the +258% on the current tree. I know that Chris has said we are getting more base life to compensate, but it does remain to be seen how well this will balance out. Also keep in mind that the life you get from gear will be MUCH less effective now. 2. Crit multi is a bit harder to come by. I'm at +106% crit multi vs. +165% in my current build. I could get at another 45% pretty easily though with my last points, but it's a small reduction still. 3. Crit chance does not seem to be a problem at all. I'm at +432% vs. current tree 415%. 4. Base offensive stats are improved. I'm at +406% physical damage, +67% projectile damage, and +65% IAS vs. the current +226% physical damage, +39% projectile damage, and +42% IAS. That's insane! We even get more projectile/arrow speed for better range. 5. We get a lot more movespeed too, 35% vs. the current 19% 6. I think we get more evasion but I am using two different builders so I'm not 100% on this. I have the current evasion bonus at 129% and the new bonus at over 200%. 7. There is less incidental strength and int, so you may need to pick up some +30 nodes. 8. You are likely to get some extra resists now, not that this matters much. It does mean less stress on gear though. 9. The influence cluster is a bit weaker and a bit more out of the way now. Just some initial thoughts. EDIT: Not sure if I was working with the correct tree or not. There might be some errors if I was using an earlier version of the new tree. yeah beside all the information mentioned above, i also notice that both mana leech node and life leech nodes are being place 1 up and 1 down of each another, so i guess this is one of the good thing, the bad is, mana leech need to go the 2 extra point into taking %mana in order to get it... hmm, hope a english version of the tree will be out soon.

Ive got draft builds done for the ranger and the shadow, initial impressions is ranger seems more suited than shadow for Punc SA Crit. Most of the bow phys dmg nodes are further down south of the tree, bit further away from the shadow starter area.
Crit Multi is a bit harder to come by, whereas crit chance is abundant, both global crit and crit dmg/chance w bows. Perhaps buying up some legacy crit multi quivers could be very beneficial! As mentioned mana and life leech nodes are bunched which is nice. Also for those with access to the tree, there is a cluster with a notable named entropy (increases DoT 27%) might be worth if it applies to puncture too? the 3 nodes add up to 45% DoT increase. Not sure how to export the tree into a properly readable format so ill leave a screenie of the whole tree with the stats on the left.. Open to suggestions criticisms.. http://imgur.com/bl19NtX IGN Beastiary AwGeezRick Last edited by vileArchon#6238 on Aug 14, 2014, 2:58:29 AM

Hey guys, here's a tree I made for the new patch. Might have to grab more life but they're far away. It seems like you won't need as much life% anymore though. Looking pretty good for bow user! Shadows will have a bit more phys dmg but a lot less evasion and some less life.

edit: With the abundance of crit chance % nodes, I might consider dropping power charges altogether. Here is a version with more life, no power charge and no mana leech (would have to get it on gear, but as I understand it, it will be easy to get with the new crafting system.)

Have a lvl 86 split arrow elemental ranger right now and looking to switch with the next patch. Have about 60-70 ex to spend, so obviously can't buy the gloves. Is it doable to get enough gear with 70ex to run this build properly and what should I be looking to get first?

I also did a new tree, level 91 build.
I think the increase in critical chance is good and with power charges and maybe the bow buffs (maybe a bow type like harbinger will pop out) we might reach higher percentages and crit reliably. I also think the optimal way to go with the tree is to take coldhearted calculation, go down there, take sniper and go to the shadow start, rather than taking bunch of +10 dex nodes unnecessarily. Also taking the acrobatics improvement nodes are a given, with those buffs to dodge. Edit: I loved the King of the Hill node (guaranteed knockback on crit on an easy tree path, very nice). " Of course you can well with 70ex budget, I'm only playing with 30ex budget. First thing first I would recommend to get is a good pdps 6L Harbringer with crit >8%. Then if there's enough budget left after getting the bow, aim for a 5L/6L chest with at least 1.5k evasion or more chest with hp and dual/tri resist. After that just mess around and gear your characters with good rings, amulets, belt, shoes etc. glove would be a maligaro with okay rolls, legacy is even better but not needed. " 12 i think the "revelry" node is reallllllllllllly intresting for us. i mean, this would help us alot against mana problems its in the bottom of "King of the hill" " this build is very close to my suggest but i dont think we need the aura nodes anymore, just waste of points. mana cost will go down as far as i know and its possible to handle with it Last edited by crackred#7106 on Aug 14, 2014, 6:34:13 AM
