[OUTDATED] Zivko's WoE + BoR build - Seems like the build is dead

Physical reflect together with Elemental Reflect and even both of them at the same time are not an issue with this build even in low level maps where you deal more damage than in high level maps as long as you use any form of Life Leech -> from Blood Rage gem or from Life Leech gem in BoR (if you cant outregen Blood Rage or playing a map with No regen/50% regen )
...

Good point for Life Leech. thanks
Phys reflect can be an issue if you're using cyclone though. The solution is to pop a granite flask and go ham.

Ele reflect has never, ever been a issue.
For try, for see, and for know.

This is a buff
I still have not gotten my WoE build up to the lvl90 id like to have it but ive done a couple Atziri runs already and its lots of fun. Im running with quite significantly less life (only just over 5k) but i also get a bit more dps out of it;

Granted, this is the full frenzied/flasked/vaal haste bloated number but its not all too impossible to keep all these up most of the time. Once i quality my cleave gem i should get dps numbers over 60k but most importantly its a very very fun build to run around with!

Oh and phys reflect is doable but its a bit of a pain and in my case i have to pay too much attention and it slows me down to the point where i avoid it on maps. One or two packs of monsters with phys reflect if not an issue at all but a full map just sucks. I guess i could swap some gems around to make it work more reliably but meh....

can we see your gear and tree? I am interested in how you are getting that high dps and would like to see what you sacrificed to get those numbers. also, why not dual strike?

Getting high numbers in DPS value with Vaal Haste + Atziri Flask + 3xFrenzy Charges from Blood Rage is not hard to get but those numbers are not relevant to show normal DPS you can output most of the time

Normal DPS you can reach above level 90,at least for mana variant of the build while using Cleave, can position around 32-35k DPS for AoE attacks (with only Hatred + Herald of Ash + 3x Frenzy Charges) and around 56-60k DPS for single target attacks (with only Hatred + Herald of Ash + 3x Frenzy Charges)

For mana variant if you add from time to time Vaal Haste + Atziri Flask above level 90 , SINGLE TARGET DPS can pass 85k+ easily if proper geared (min-max physical damage on both rings , 120% WoE , %attack speed on gloves , %elemental damage on a rustich sash) but those numbers are hard to reach for most of the players since gearing like that can cost a lot of currency and you cant keep that DPS permanently

Dual Strike can provide higher numbers when is about DPS (on AOE attacks mostly) but also cost more mana , and to use it with no mana problems all the time you have to invest in mana nodes and mana regeneration nodes , loosing points that you can invest in damage node or life if using Cleave.

I've been playing a version of WOE + BOR full block build since February, but have never attempted Atziri. Then I stop playing in April, and only recently return to the game. Saw this thread and respec my duelist to it, health and dps wise as far as I can see they have really improved from the old tree. My old spec was also using Iron Reflex, and no Acrobatics at all, switched to the survival version of this build. DPS with hatred is 27k.

Attempted Atziri yesterday armed with abit of research and managed to kill it after a few deaths.
Spoiler

Tried again today and managed to kill it with 0 deaths, getting used to the fight :) Thanks for the build!

My bog standard 'boring' DPS is just a hair over 41k atm, will be more once i level cleave up a bit;

Im not running any resist aura's atm as im getting all i need from gear;

Spoiler

Life on all the bits isn't perfect but its working for me. I might get me some gear with more flat phys and attack-speed like lilianmarius suggests at a later stage, but for now this is all stuff i found/crafted myself (minus the BoR) so im not complaining.... and i have a lot of mana left i could run something else off... something like vitality could maybe be fun.... Or just run purity of elements and drop any of the gear above for something else who knows XD

I basically sacrificed a whole lot of life and the aura stuff but i might respec into that at a later stage. What im running now is if you take the higher survivability tree minus Sovereignty and Purity of flesh, then instead add Blood drinker on the other side of the tree (i got that to get some basic leech going as i was leveling and im still specced into that). I also have some more regen off-the-bat running a scion with Shaper and the regen nodes in front of it. I love regen but it doesnt help against the big hits so for running atziri its probably not the best choice ;)

So just running hatred and herald of ash i get 41k base dps (43k if i go meginords + purity of elements for example), capped resists, hair over 5k life with just over 250lifegen a second. Lot of room for improvements both on my tree and gear-wise.

And the reason i didnt go for dual strike is exactly as stated above; i ran into mana issues leveling up this build, cleave is much much friendlier and i just like the simple AoE on it (and the fact that putting quality on my main skill actually does anything just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside)
I just wanted to stop in a say what a great build this has turned out to be for me so far.

I just soloed Piety on Merciless at level 63 and it was easy.

I was running Hatred and Herald of Ash.

Spoiler

My only expense so far has been with sockets. I used over 50 jewelers on the WoE to get it as it is. All of the gear came from drops. I didn't buy anything from another player. I don't have a BoR or Rainbowstride, yet though. It's likely will have to buy those.

I have been using dual strike. Mana is not an issue for me. It may be because I have the 1% Mana Leech on the ring. I had to use the mana flask before I switched in that ring and before my reduce mana gem got to the point it is now, but it was hardly ever an issue.

The tool tip on Dual Strike says 12,964.3.

Before I was able to add the melee splash gem to dual strike I used molten strike for AoE damage.

Edit:

I just solo'd Dominus on Merciless at Level 64. I died once, but it could have been avoided. I used the same gear. Here's the Passive Tree for that fight.

Also wanted to drop by and say that this is pretty awesome. Once I hit lvl 67 and could use my BoR and other uniques in combination something just clicked... and now I feel nigh-invincible at lvl 70. I've never played with maxed block/spellblock on a character before, but it feels like I've put in a cheat code or something haha. I'm sure i will go back to being challenging when I get to the end game content such as Atziri, but for now I feel like a damned Demigod. Thanks Zivko!
