ReverendBizzarre: ele cleave templar [6k life, 45k+ dps]

I somehow dont feel confident with tihs life leech:D i got 2.35k dps on lvl 55. 5% life leech but i mean the heal is so strange i cnat outheal a rare mob often in merci.Im resis are maxe mostly and i got 2.1k life!Just gearing up and getting 6L chest soon!

btw does enduring cry work with increased duration gem?

and i found on my shadow a 5L chest but with GGBRR so i had to sacrifice life leech:/ any ideas how to get still life back.

Am I correct assuming that this Sword is pretty good for a DW Elemental Cleave build?



Found it a while back and was mad that it wasn't a Bow or Wand because I didn't know about any Sword builds that use Elemental Damage at that time. Kept the Sword anyway. No physical increase but I figured that physical damage doesn't really do anything for this build anyway, right?

Well to the gear!The Helmet MUST be swirched i thought about chistus apex or how its called or sth else with some dmg and resis!The boots are pretty nice gonne keep them nice movement! Gloves are new too not perfect but ok!Belt is nice aswell could also buy one with maybe more dmg!But for now i want survivability!The rings well, i need the one for the dex and the other one is just cause it gives me a nice dps boost and didnt have anything better!The amulet was because of the life on hit. I got only this 5Linked chest and there is no space for life leech!

To the Weapons!A friend gave me both today and the are insane!One hitting almost everytihng !Merciless is pretty easy!If i play carefull and dont die:D


So Victor can u give me any advise what i should buy?What Helmet is nice for me maybe?

And how much does a decent 6L costs for the ele cleaver?Any ideas?I want to get once cause this char is just amazing!

is blast radius much weaker now compared to that +2 melee range?

Templar gains:

52% armor
10% ele resist
31% ele dmg
40% mana regen
1 spare passive... gonna assume 8% life for this

Ranger:

48% evasion
12% attack speed
40 dex
16% life

You say yourself mana is not a problem because you use mana leech gem so we can say the 40% templar start isnt needed. Not sure which is better, 31% ele dmg or the 12 attack speed.
However, it would take a while to get to the templar life nodes which may be a problem.
I may still make the ranger but would like more of your opinion about this ^^

And about levelling cleave, according to wiki a lvl 1 cleave is 7 mana, a lvl 16 one is only 10 and you gain 60% dmg. Have you tested how much a levelled cleave gives you dps wise?
I mean its only 3 more mana and you say you got so much mana from mana leech anyway.

As you can see , the ranger is restricted to eva gear with that build, you lose elemental damage, resistances.

the 40% is very nice acutally, i currently have 28 mana per second regen which helps casting quite a lot since you have a low mana pool without regen you would have to use flasks for casting stuff.

You gain a minimal ammount of dps and only increasing you mana cost by a massive ammount, mana cost doesnt work the way you seem to think it does, a level 1 cleave has 7 mana with 6 links it turns into 28 or 36 mana depending on the links, a level 20 cleave would be around 4-56 mana.

What do u guys think aobut chitus apex? the unique ele dmg and resi helmet?when i saw it the first time i knew i wanna get it.Is it worth the currency? I mean 10% resi is nice and up to 20% ele dmg on head is nice aswell!

And one more question!Ever tried blood rage for frenzy charges?:) sound pretty easy to get buff up kill stuff and there u go.

Chitus' is good when youre very high level and need that extra xp gain.

BR is nice, i will try it when i have more chaos resistance.

Endu cry doesnt work with Inc duration, no.

You cant leech life with items with this build since its elemental, life leech gem is the only way to do it, you can just sue flasks until you color your armor for life leech.

I say you try chaosing your armor and aim for some life on it, change belt to a belt with more life, head needs changed and gold ring should be changed tos omething with life and resistance.

A 6l is quite expensive.
