Astramentis very much helps you out with that :). (and yes switch out astramentis for another necklace once snapshot and respec is done)

That was then, this is now. People jumped to Steam for some reason and many came back to solo client.
There is no evidence for that, though. Steam's overall numbers raise steadily, and there is no advantage to using GGG's client over the Steam version (quite the opposite: auto-patching, no need to enter the password, no confirmation mails, trading cards that can be sold so that MTX get a bit cheaper).
I'm not worried about the game. Like I said, it is in the top-25 on Steam. But I don't get why people are so willing to believe things that defy numbers and logic. Numbers are just what they are. I never expected a game like PoE to be able to sustain 80k peaks for very long, and it doesn't have to sustain these numbers to be successful. If it manages 10k peaks daily combined, it's in good enough shape to be called successful.
There is evidence, namely the Steam:Standalone ratio going from 50:50 to roughly 30:70 (judging from the numbers Chris posted a month ago). Steam player retention seems to be much worse than the standalone client one, for whatever reasons. That means the Steam numbers don't represent the whole player base well. And numbers aren't just numbers, if you don't know how to interpret them, they are meaningless.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

How the hell is a full respect a P2W? Let me say this...
Does it provide an advantage over any other player that has played for less than 2 months to accumulate the amount of orbs to do this? Only if they are the hardcore players...and of course the casuals get screwed again.
It is not P2W for those players that spent the time to do so to rebuild their tree over and over after their builds are "nerfed". It's for those "Adults" that can afford to keep up with the current build of the week or month and have a debit/credit card ready.
I have a good job, and can afford anything in the game if I wanted to RMT. I have a blender build that still can't do Atziri atm, but can still crush almost anything. I started this game one week after open beta and I take it in stride.
Wait, why the phuck do I care about Gar servers unless this is a future of what is to become on standard?
BTW Ducks taste like Chicken....with the buckshot...
-Time to be funny. The world needs funny right now! Warning: "Might" get you muted.
25 Exalts...oh God my stupidity stuck! Now onto 25 Divines...

[Removed by Support] I don't know if I should laugh or cry. So much drama. Anyone want some cheese to their whine? You know what most of you remind me of? People opposed to gay marriage:
"Oh noes, those two guys have a relationship and want to get married! We must forbid that, because I don't like it. Fuck them and their happiness!"
"Oh noes, those asian players have a MTX that grants a passive respec! We must forbid that, because I don't like it. Fuck them and their enjoyment of the game!"
And fuck GGG for wanting PoE to be successful in a completely different market with different player expectations and market dynamics, right?
Does anyone of you know the details about this MTX? No? Who would have thought! Perhaps you can only use one per character per month. Perhaps you can only purchase one at a time, thus preventing stockpiling. Perhaps it locks the character out of using Regrets for several weeks after. There could be some sort of drawback attached to it which NONE OF YOU KNOWS FROM THAT SINGLE FRIGGING LINE IN THEIR PATCH NOTES.
Also, I think people misinterpret this MTX as "unlimited Regrets," which the name certainly doesn't imply. My guess is that this MTX completely wipes your tree, similar to the resets characters get after significant changes to the passive tree. While it's useful for switching your build, or fixing basic flaws with it, it's incredibly inconvenient to use for aura snapshotting. Since you have to rebuild your whole build every time, you meanwhile very likely lose the ability points necessary to wear your gear, thus completely fucking up your snapshotting.
You remind me of my old me.
You are working against GGG, fighting against players who give GGG criticism will only confort GGG on Path of Dollar rather than path of great game.
Wake up, Chris has just said that paying for free regret orbs effects was not that horrible! What about paying for exalting items who become non tradable afterwards?
Good vaal orbs : http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/840813
Bad ones : http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/812199
Why? http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/854397(I got an answer)

Like or not, this change breaches GGG's idea of pay to win (obviously) but if you go to, say, another f2p's game forum (cough Marvel Heroes cough) you'll see their version of 'Charan' arguing themselves blue in the face that the game isn't pay to win, despite conveniences that would make PoE VERY pay to win.
Lol, this reminds me of Star Citizen. That game is 100% p2w by PoE standards, but dare to mention that on its forums... Public lynching will never be the same.

The problem is GGG has set a very high bar in their approach to what mtx are pay 2 win and what not. And with allowing this change it shows a change in morale that leaves an odd feeling. In most other games this would be a non issue.

"Market". I hate this word so much. It is only a metric to how much a population have accepted to get screwed. Games, like any arts, should be made for humans and not "markets".

Yeah, but when you have to feed 50 or so people, you have to cater to the market :P
