Garena is adding skill tree resets as a micro transaction in 1.1.3. Thoughts?

Personally, it's not game-breakingly harmful enough to bother me. I have more characters with full respects available than character I have the time to play.

While I don't like the idea of being able to buy full respecs, a high price and a limitation that prevents it from being used for snapshotting will help keep it in line. Needing regrets for bandit quest changes and for people who don't want to pay $20 for a respec should keep the price from sinking too hard. Given that this is an experiment in the eyes of GGG limited to the Garena region, I feel that Chris considers the full respec to be skirting the line for their definition of P2W and will see how it goes.

" We get these kinds of respecs at least 3 times a year already. We also get them when they reset a classes starting area, or do impactful things to the passive tree. While I personally wouldn't like the idea for it on our servers, it wouldn't change much anyway. It simply would make your characters you messed up useful as something else. It's not pay to win, it's pay to skip forward to a respec. IGN = Dellusions_Duelist

Dear GGG, you break the vow of making a game that is not pay to win. Even it is not on the main server, even it is not game breaking, this game is now officially, pay to win. What would you sell next after passive reset? Maybe a slightly drop increase, say 20% item rarity buff for 10 days? Or a slightly chance of chance a unique using orb of chance, say additional 1%? You are killing your game by allowing Garena do so.

Even gave Garena Kaoms on creating account on Garena server, I would never play on that server.
Now they also give micro-transaction points by gathering a skull point thing. |
