il show you my little build variation that i currently use as a DW sword ranger lvl 87.its the original ceto build but since it was complet at lvl 75,i made my own modification to it.




so basicly i went for dual weild block.im currently at 42% block chance and let me tell you,it do all the difference.first this build is really nice but it might lack of survavibility again burst hit.with is hight defence(9k armor and 22k with granite) and decent amount of hp (3k9 before aura) most monster pack isnt a probleme.the difficulty come from boss or any hard hiting mobs since armor scale badly again hard hiting mobs so to conter that weakness,i went block.block give me some extra time to my hp to recover from life leech since its capped at 20%/sec.my next goal im not sure yet.i was thinking about resolute technique but i dont like the *cant crit* side effect.i might just invest some point in +accuracy nods.so far chance to hit isnt a problem anyway since we dont have hight lvl content and the map currently isnt hight enought to be a real problem.

that my current gear.not the greatest but some nice peice in there.im looking for better weapon currently.going with corsair sword 2aps+ with 200+ max dmg.

i use meginor belt since it give a nice physical dmg boost(gave me about 500 dps) and still give some hp/resist and i hear the flask recovery on belt also affect life leech reovery.

current dps:
dual strike:9758 self buff without blood rage (4 frenzzy charge) 10641 dps with 4 charge
cleave:8679 without charge 9423 with 4 charge (cleave only lvl 17 since i bought a new 20% quality so it will be a little higther dps at lvl 20) ,im also at 73% chance to hit so my dps is actualy higther then that if i fight lower lvl monster.add mabey 2k dps.

my dps isnt to bad but i feel its really to low in 4-6 man grp...i hope better weapon might solve it.

between i tried cyclone...trash skill.not worth it

Since burst damage is the only thing, that could kill you, you should skip some damage notes and pick up more 8% life notes. higher life pool will also increase life gain from life leech.

The block idea is kinda good since we took unwavering stance.

Your armor and weapons have kinda low damage. Same story with your armor.

Over all good build.

my armor have low dmg and same story with your armor?what?

you mean like no atk speed on glove and thing like that?for my weapon yea i know.trying to find some good one but they arent that cummon and are usualy 10-15 exalte....

to raise my dmg without losing to much hp/resist what would you suggest?

ok i did some calculation and i changed my build today.i went with this



someone posted that build on this thread,1 page back i think and i modified it to keep my block etc.i lost some phy dmg % but i dont have to bother anymore with accuracy and can go full dmg or hp for my next lvl instead of going for accuracy nods.the 100% chance to hit offcourse boosted my dps by ALOT but its fake dps since i was already doing that again lower monster.i did gain about 1k7 armor with the +evasion in ranger starting area and 1% atk speed.i also changed one of my ring for a sick +res ring that also give 30% chaos resist.im now overcaped as crazy in resist so elemental weakness wont affect me to much and im at +8% chaos resist so my blood rage only do like 2dmg/sec now lol so i can blood rage all the time.for the block im down to 39% now since i lost the 3% in the ranger starting area but its not a big deal.

those change put my armor at 11k2(24k granite) now,i gain some hp with the +strenght nods and im at 4k before aura.
cleave dps with 4 frenzy charge: 11 651 (5.09 atk/sec)
dual strike with 4 frenzy charge: 13 152


when i will find 2 good sword+some insane atk speed glove,i think i might be near 13-15k dps cleave at 6 atk/sec.

overall i think this change worth it.im sad to lose crit chance but i was to low anyway.

I got 10815 dps 0.27 att spd for Dual strike and 1403 dps 0.27 att spd for cyclone (lv14 gem) and 6200 HP all resist 80 but 73 cold resist -21 chaos resist

but i have no idea, how many Chance of hit is needed for high lv map (lv70+) sigh

I am 79% Chance to Hit....
I'm really not a big fan of not being able to crit, all my granite flasks have the recover 1 charge on crit mod, and with the amount of hits I'm doing those flasks keep getting restored and I have a 100% uptime of granite flasks. Also the chance to hit is calculated against monsters of your own level , while map monster lvl should be way lower. And , since we use wrath aura , we can sometimes apply shock stacks by doing crits. 5% crit might not seem like a big deal , but with our amount of attacks per second , it kinda is.
