Well, i am happy will all the decisions GGG has made so far.
You, sir, are in a minuscule minority. Almost everyone has a gripe about PoE. Be it desync, nerfing, endgame, SFL, etc. I'm glad you think the game is absolutely perfect, but even the devs don't think that way. What's your angle? Trying to become a mod or something?
No he isn't. The vast, VAST majority of PoE players are happy where the GGG's vision is leading them, and that's like 100% of players who don't visit the forums which compares to 90% of PoE playerbase. SFL will never happen, get over it casuals. Also, all this RMT conspiracy is getting ridiculous. It's like 0.0005% of players who use those services, those who whine about them on the forums included. They are also the kind of players who aimbot in CS "because the other team hacks too", rofl.

RMT doesn't work on SFL. GGG can't sell items.

I get back, and I see anti-SFL crowd telling others what's fun and what's not.
I see the very same RMT crap from the worst poster on this forum.
I see Scrootie gone mad because he doesn't know what "self found" means.

A word of warning.
In PoE, an achievement is paying someone 20 ex for a boss kill, for this you will be rewarded with a limited edition MTX. In PoE an 'extremely challenging achievement' is completing a shopping list, for this you will be rewarded a T-shirt.
The head man at GGG (along with more if not all of them) has stated several times that there is no awesome, no fun, in finding items to use. The fun and awesome comes in finding something to sell. The man who said "it comes back to the core aRPG thing where the reason you value the items is because other people 'want them'".
The word achievement is lost in PoE, self-finding fun doesn't exist in PoE.
Using the two together in a post is double Dutch.
And this is all what's needed to be said, that is why there will never be a SFL or "real" crafting, it can only get worse, as it is. Or maybe in some scenario in which a SFL would bring money to GGG, when they're running low or...
It's about the way of thinking of the heads of GGG and their "philosophy".
In SFL:
- RMT would be almost non-existent, drops wouldn't have to be balanced around botters, because they do not affect me as a player, RMT also.
- drops would have to be heavily increased, so people would actually use them on their items which they intend to use, otherwise, players can just play SF in these leagues, like Qarl said (one of the worst things ever)
- no need for a 4-month league, at least not in the beginning, until we get to see the impact, permanent league is enough as the main goal of the SFL is having fun with your own items
Best way to test the SFL would be a 2-3 week "race".

This, my friends, is a textbook example of a lost soul, a soul who lost himself battling the inevitable. He couldn't grasp that the game wasn't catered to his every whim at every turn. This turned him bitter and hollow. He just couldn't handle it so he starting hating. Every post, more bitter than the previous is a testament of his passion once died to the expectations of unreal scale. Now he wanders the forums, hating, whining, applying sarcasm to "bring out the truth", which is not - nor ever will be - reality.

You rather accurately describe yourself.
