Quality on weapons only affect physical portion of damage, ie useless.

Yes, provided you'd be fine with 60% less health. I wouldn't even run one MB, but whatever floats your boat.

I have a couple of general questions
1) Does wand quality actually effect any stats?
2) how do I link items into these threads? I"m looking at 3 different wands and I don't know which one to use and whether i should get rid of the other 2.
3) At this point in the game I"m almost at general in cruel. My battles typically see me summoning max amount of zombies while flame carpets do the bulk of my damage and i spam arc as mana permits. My health pool is around 700 hp (I use blood magic with wrath) and i only have half my mana available most of the time (fairly highly leveled clarity).
Here is where i'm at in terms of skill points
https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgMAB2MNjRCXES0WbxpsHNwi9CQ8J6kqmDgbRARI50lRTblUrlXGVytabWKsZ71r22wLc1N8g30YfdJ_xoVgiECOvo9GkDOSwZMnm6GdrqFtpqynCKdcqsS4k7yfv5fJPcy8zfrPZdDQ1BnWndkL37Djn-yK8h731_qA
Where should I concentrate my next ten points or so? I feel like my minions still get blown up by ranged damage and I also feel as if I myself get insta gibbed. haven't died often but i've gotten really close to dying a few times and i dont like the feeling lol.
I"m assuming i should get the chaos/elemental/lightning/fire resist nodes
(about 5 points left) filled out next but im not sure if its recommended that I look for deeper parts of the skill tree?
What do you guys think?
1. I'm almost sure it only affects wand damage, which doesn't matter for us.
2. Open up your character tab (click your character in top left) and click once on the item you want to link. The script should now be in your post.
3. I would spend the next 10 or so points getting the last minion cluster. Once you connect your tree at the bottom, you can respec those 4 points on the left Witch starting node.
Why not even one? +1 spectre dmg is huge

So, thought I'd touch base and post where my tree has gone and where I plan to take it still. Currently level 78.
I'm running proliferation+castspeed+itemquant, not chain, and current sheet dps is about 1200 before haste.
I run four auras: Haste, wrath, anger, & purity. I do not run clarity unless there is a -50% to regen affix on the current map.
Current Tree, level 78:

You don't run discipline? If you're running EB, discipline is basically a free ES buff for your minions. I never put much stock into the "I want my minions to blow up" argument because most of my dps is from my Spectres, not my Zombies blowing up. The zombies and skellies act more as a meatwall to protect me and my spectres.

Oh, interesting, I never really realized it carried over to minions. I'll look into it for sure. But no, I don't run it. My zombies have almost 18k health and purity so are pretty tanky as is, but thanks for the tip!

So, how do you guys handle pugs?
While I am 72 and I'll admit I haven't exactly attempted to join map groups or strong arm my minions on everyone all the time (since running Docks spamming Arc is more than enough when you have a full group), I've still had my fair share of "no summoners" or "no skellies plz" moments.
I imagine Dock farming is going to slow down soon so what is the best way to get into a summoner accepting late game group.

This is generally my soloing character, though sometimes people aren't as upset by pets for maps like they are for speed farming.

I get a solid ~1-2 second game hang every time you join a map with a full army, and then ~10 seconds of stuttery lag as your minions enter combat for the first time on that map. After that the lag mostly goes away. Framerates are lower than without minions (and all their stacked auras), but not bad enough to be a problem - and the added safety of the minions is well worth it.
I can definitely see why a lot of groups don't like summoners, but as long as you're aware the lag will strike as the summoner joins and in his first fight, and are cautious at that time, you get a moving wall of meat keeping you safe, so it is worth it.
I wouldn't want more than one summoner in a map though, for sure.

I started a summoner build before I saw this thread. I'm only 29 but having a blast with it. I'm not close to this build, but I can now review this build and tweak mine with your posts.
Thanks!
If I knew how to post up my tree and equipment I would love some feedback.
