Its give you more dps cloud. In my 16lvl gem they give me +300 dps

Every "projectile damage" increases the cloud damage but physical damage only increases the arrow damage. It doesn't matter if the phys./proj. damage is from gear, talentpoints or gems, it's always the same.

The tooltip isn't 100% accurate because aoe damage(conc. effect) and some other things are missing.

would projectile weakness curse increase the cloud damage taken? What about linking it to both trap and mine? anyone has experience linking to both (instead of just trap or just mine)? I see some passive nodes increase both mine and trap damage in one node so I wonder if it'll be a good idea to link it to both since you get damage bonuses on both for 1 passive node. (9% trap and 9% mine = 18% damage increase?)
Fairly new player here, so I have quite a few questions but I'd really appreciate the help.

Firstly, related to the actual weapon:
Is poison arrow cloud damage effected by the bow's physical attack damage?
Is it possible/worth it to self-craft without exalts for a bow? Which crafting path would you take?

Second, relating to gems:
Is something like Slower Projectiles + Faster Projectiles worth it? Or at least 1 on them? They give 27% and 19% increased projectile damage respectively at lvl 20.
Does desecrate actually stack under poison arrow cloud? I tried testing but couldn't see difference at lvl 67.
Is desecrate worth keeping as extra damage if I wasn't going to use DD? I was thinking about replacing DD with firetrap.
Does reduced mana work on arctic armour? Again, I can't see the difference myself but I saw someone having it linked in their gear.

Third, skill tree:
Is the alchemist cluster worth getting?

Vulnerability is a multiplier and increases the damage way more than projectile weakness but proj. weakness should work, too. It's just not as good.

Before the patch 1.2 hit, it was possible to doubledps with the multiplier on mine and trap but that doesn't work anymore apparently. Only the increased damage nodes in the passive tree would work and still stack. The problem with this whole thing is that it's really clunky and it takes way to much time on every mobpack just to set it up.

Physical attack damage only scales the arrow damage and not the cloud damage.
I wouldn't even try to craft a bow besides 5linking or 6linking it. The prices in Beyond and Rampage are around 1ex-1.5ex for a +3 bow which is pretty cheap for you endgame weapon. But you could add 1-2resists with your masters.

Slower projectiles is the 6l, if you're not using drillneck. If you're using drillneck, it's pierce.
The full link would be poison arrow - trap - incr. aoe - conc. effect - empower - slower proj./ pierce.

Yes, desecrate stacks with PA but it's damage is low compared to PA.

No, reduced mana doesn't apply to arctic armour.

The alchemist cluster is pretty strong but not this early. It's more for maxing resist or granite flasks, if you're already using the "profane chemistry"-nodes. The manaleech from "Mind drinker" only works on the arrow, which doesn't deal a lot of damage.
Other than that, your build is completly fine.

If you think you're squishy as hell, try posting your gear. It will show what items and links you're using and can show, if you're missing something or if something is easily upgradable.

how does this build go against very mobile enemies other than slowly and painfully throwing traps everywhere while the cloud drains their health for 0.2 seconds at a time?

fine, decoy totem/vaal summon skeletons your friends.
It doesn't look like Raiz has been in here in a while - so posting a link to my Poison Arrow build. I don't use traps but a lot of the mechanics are still the same. It looks like a lot of the questions here are basic of nature with respect to Poison Arrow mechanics - there is some good info there for anyone wanting it.
