Greetings and Thank you Kripp for the guide - I watch everyday - big fan.

I switched to wands at about level 33 and its working great. I had alot of high mana/ES gear so I mad a bline to Elritch battery a little bit faster (playing default atm - I've had so many deaths in HC due to my character desyncing that I'm not playing it right now).

I'm wondering:

I recently got this 5L chest:


What second blue gem would you use? (I burned over 200 chroms trying to get RRGGB - to no avail - it actually took me those 200 to even get 1 GGRBB so I took it)

Right now, I'm leaning towards using Siphon > Weapon Elemental Damage > Chain > GMP > +Chaos or +Lighting Damage

Any one have any suggestions? I of course wan't Life Leech or Accuracy, but like I said, the Chrom gods won't smile on this pure ES chest for a lucky roll.

EDIT* Maybe Critical Strike Chance? Or Crit Damage? Thoughts?

I'm looking to improve my current 4L chest:

To a 5L chest for Power Siphon, my idea is get a BGGRR link but I'm not sure what path I should take:

1. Try to get a 5L with Fusing + Alch this:

2. Try to Chromatic to BGGRR and Fusing for 5L this:


Is this my next step of improvement? It's worth it Ambu's Charge unique for this build?

Any help would be greatly appreciate since I'm pretty new to the art of crafting.

There are so many other upgrades you can get before a 5L, especially one without life or resists but I digress, you've already made the purchase. (btw, go for armor/es or straight armor pieces, better for your build).

Critical Damage or Added Lightning are your best bets. Added Chaos is good for reflect maps.

Don't spend your currency on trying to get a 5L, again, there are better upgrade options available (I got a Cold/Chaos resist, 50+ life and 24% ele damage belt for 2 GCP the other day - better overall piece than spending 4+ GCP on a 5L).

Ambu's Charge is worthless for this build in my opinion - lacking lots of life, resists and higher armor/es rolls that you can get on an actual chest. It's really only worthwhile for Marauder's or build with the -% damage taken from crits.

Been doing this, except CI version. Blood Rage + Power Siphon + 20% quality Warlord's Mark + Conduit will make people very happy.

Right now I'll have to do with one of these; decided on using the ev/es hybrid right now, not sure if the extra ES is worth it compared to the armor I lose from not using the armor/es hybrid but the vaal regalia is just 9 levels away.

I'm open for suggestions but don't really want to plan any further than level 85. I could probably refund the accuracy nodes as well, I will probably be using the additional accuracy support gem anyway. I could also opt to go for an extra frenzy charge with the evasion bonus, or apply life leech to ES (which would help as blood rage + warlord's mark gives quite the life leech). Boots will probably be Windscream (although only 10% ms is kind of a turn-off, I like my characters fast), so I can use said Warlord's Mark together with the bread and butter curse Elemental Weakness + the 10% elemental damage is of course amazing.

EDIT: some of you may be wondering where I'm getting mana from seeing as I have no EB. I don't have any mana problems right now, but I am only running 4 auras: clarity, discipline, wrath and anger. I got access to an enormous amount of +%mana nodes and there's 2 more 20% mana regen nodes. Most of my gear doesn't really have any +mana or +mana regen, so there's room for that as well. I don't need any life or chaos resist mods on my gear either (and accuracy isn't that much of a priority either as I chose to use additional accuracy, I don't know if I'm going to swap it out later for something else). Because I don't need life/chaosres mods I can easily get a few mana mods.

I at least want to run Grace as my 5th aura, which is already possible but it requires me to use mana pots a bit too much for my personal taste (I'm lazy I guess). Ideally I want to use 6 auras: wrath, anger, discipline, clarity, grace and vitality (together with zealot's oath). Vitality is 40% though, so that is kind of a tall order, but as I said: there are plenty of %mana nodes available and if I manage to get nice ES gear (the armor is already pretty nice; could be 1.2k with perfect stats but stopped rerolling it for now), I could easily drop a few 8% ES nodes for 8% mana nodes. There's also two Savant nodes that I could pick up easily, which adds to my flat mana (and ES). We'll see how it turns out I guess.

The worry I always have with CI builds is how susceptible they are to Elemental Status Effects. I rarely get shocked on my Templar, but when I do, it's usually new underwear time, so I can't imagine running CI. In Closed Beta, I ran a CI Frost Witch and really had trouble with getting Frozen (had the Shock Immunity Helm). I would strongly consider getting the +5 all resist passive to help mitigate this but can't speak to how beneficial it is without being combined with Purity.

Interested in what your damage output is? Using Frenzy charges has always intrigued me, but not until I max Chaos resist.

Can anyone elighten me why kripps mana/s is so goddamn high?

im 78 now, my skill tree is almost the same besides some life nodes and conduit, i even got 2k more mana but my manareg is only at 102 unbuffed, 194 buffed.

im lacking 45% manareg compared to him which he has on a ring.I tested a 30% one and my mana/s got buffed by only ~20 tho(unbuffed). further more, the lv19 clarity cant be a factor either cause he even has ~60manareg more unbuffed than me.

can anyone explain me what im missing?

So you're saying you have nearly 5k mana? I somehow have my doubts about that.

I'm currently level 76 using 1 item with 59% mana regeneration and I'm sitting at 2468 mana with discipline up. My regen without clarity is around 118 and with it's around 182.

If I then equip another item with 46% mana regeneration it jumps to 140 without clarity and 213.2 with clarity.

Now consider the fact that Kripp has nearly 200 more mana than me, which increases his base regeneration by a fair amount. That base regen is then also increased by all of his increased mana regeneration % from talents and gear and you basically have your answer.
