I understand exactly how you feel. I run a small WISP (wireless ISP) in SW Florida, the lightning capital of the western hemisphere and in the summer thunderstorm season (June - September) we are on call pretty much 24/7 to fix any communication issues caused from the many cloud to ground lightning strikes that occur. Sometimes bad electrical storms can produce over 1000 lightning strikes (mostly cloud to cloud) per hour so it makes for stressful times.
