[v1.7] 39k+ DPS with INFERNAL BLOW, +239% life, +6.8% regen, +145% armor, TRIPLE curses + blinds!

Like the idea of this build. Good work!

Doing something very similar, but with 1-h shield on HC.

I've run into a wall in a2 cruel now though. I really feel I lack AoE dmg (have been forced to do LS). My IB hits like a truck and got 1800 hp. Would love some feedback on my build and what I can improve, if its not too late.

Build

I've rushed for Blood Magic because of mana problems. Might have been a mistake.

This is where I am in my build right now at level 46.





I'm trying to keep up 3 endurance charges and only running Anger as aura atm. For AoE packs I usually run close, use enduring cry - pop molten shell and just charge in hoping for the best.

For big packs of ranged scattered mobs I usually have to use LS with fork.

My IB pretty much 1-shots everything though with 1,5k dps.

Just don't know where to go from here.

Any advice would be appreciated! :)

Also. What do you use for life regen? I dont see any life leech or life on hit. You rely on flasks and life regen from passives?

Without life leech I drop pretty fast.

I haven't really given it any thought with the shields yet. The thing is, with 2 handers I did not specifically pick any two handed or weapon talents, the early beginning excluded where there really weren't any options.

If you are suffering from blood magic, be sure to pick those two +15% life from flasks nodes from marauder area. Those are very core, in my opinion with BM.

Without life leech I drop pretty fast.

I've currently 73.7hp/s which isn't that much, but it's more than I can spend by casting infernal blow. But that's without endurance charges. I've currently 5 charges max, which up the healing by +1%/s. Also, eventually heading for more regeneration nodes, close to the armor mastery.

With 4 life flasks:

...I've never even ran out of two. The +30% healing from those two marauder nodes turn 1.8k healing around 2.35k per use, that certainly has been enough for me.

Also, the blind from arc/firestorm helps a lot.

One more thing. There would be total 3% life leech from PHYSICAL damage nodes available, but that's just terrible with elemental damage based build.

Even with my physical DPS with infernal blow isn't more than 700dmg/attack. Even 3% of that would be minor 21 health.

Is being two-handed and taking all those defensive nodes enough for me to survive Hardcore? Or is it better to use a shield?

You definitely can survive. Just be extra careful with chaos damage and be sure you aren't rushing the content. Be sure you are "too high level" for the mobs.

Nasty. L64. 9733.9 DPS on Infernal Blow. That's with self sustained Anger and Wrath though.

Closing the mystical barrier of 10k fast! Still, thought I'd edit the original post name already. Could have easily picked nodes to reach that already...

Breaking 10k means DPS of 25k+ vs a base fire resist 0% target, when you curse it with flammability, elemental weakness and apply elemental equilibrium.

Yeah, you can't crit in this build. Big deal with 100% accuracy and that kind of DPS? :)

Total all resists in final build is 45%.

This way we don't have to pick "two useless" DEX nodes, although it puts more strain on our gear where we need to get that DEX.
