[v1.7] 39k+ DPS with INFERNAL BLOW, +239% life, +6.8% regen, +145% armor, TRIPLE curses + blinds!

L65. Time to end Felshrine farming and move to Act 3.

Been trading quite a bit, although was away for monday.

Crafted a new chest and tossed 2 exalted on it.
Also used 2 exalted on my axe. Sadly first one rolled stun threshold.

That chest tossed my physical reduction from 23% to 35%. 47% with Molten Shell up. Still 80% elemental resists, but sadly back to -60% chaos.

As I did not think I could hit the proper colors on the new axe, I swapped wrath to flicker strike - just to experiment with some mobility.

Current gear:

I confirmed that ARC with spell totem procs elemental equilibrium. Reason enough to use it over firestorm, although that would blind better.

Act 3 has been a cakewalk now with the new gear.

Managed to buy a 8% melee physical damage - about time I got rid of that non-quality one!

L66. Piety killed. Time to head to maps. Wish I had one though.

Unbuffed (no auras) DPS on Infernal Blow: 10.5k.

Also exalted my 2nd ring, although the mana regen was already a wasted stat. Thought if I hit something proper, it should pay itself back anyways.

And upgrade is an upgrade!

Also managed to craft an Onyx I was thinking of building with exalted. Missing 2 suffixes, like resists, fire damage %, casting speed.

Also would have this, which misses two prefixes (like weapon elemental damage, damage (flat) and life)

And bought a 20% quality infernal blow!

I currently have 8 passive points and 2 respec points, my survivability feels good so far. If you don't mind some sharing some feedback, have I overlooked any nodes before I head north for EE? Any other suggestions?

Not a problem, part of the fun of creating something is sharing it!

I would pick up the endurance charges and one of the 20% armor, ES and 10% all res nodes just southwest to the templar starting area.

I don't think it really matters on softcore if you go for elemental equilibrium first or not, but on hardcore I really would focus on staying alive before all else.

So use one point on 8% armor/ES node, 2nd to the 20% ones.

I would respec those two 4% increased AoE-nodes and one of the 10 int nodes, and go below for that 20% mana regen (wasted), 6% casting speed node. I was forced to pick the +30 INT node just left of there, behind the 3% reduced mana cost, to have high enough INT for discipline. I had to even pick a 2nd 30 node out of the normal steps, but I will respec that myself soonish.

I would probably also respec the 15% armor and 10% armor nodes close to marauder start. Head down from the str node west of there, to get the endurance charge, regen per endurance charge and lava lash. Then you can respec those STR nodes where you came to blood magic. And be sure to get that endurance charge node and the duration for it, just

Enduring Cry becomes a skill that mitigates so much of the incoming damage...although even that wasn't enough today on a map, where enemies had 20% reflect elemental damage.

The enemy had no fire resist (at least listed) and tossed full negative resistances on it, being roughly -140%. As I was playing with a party, my damage with hatred and haste was around 14.2k on the tooltip. I one shotted myself, even though I cannot crit. The -140% turned the 14.2k * 2.4 - roughly 34k. And 20% out of that is 6.8k. Even with resists, I think I had 68% fire at that point, since was experimenting with this belt

meaning I took 32% of that 6.8k. That's roughly 2.2k, which is roughly my hitpoints when I've auras reserving few hundred hit points. I didn't have ES up at that point and suppose I was at 90-95% hp. That is, if the enemy had 0% base fire resist. It's also possible there was some curse on me, which is just impossible to know in the heat of the battle!

Anyways. One hit. Kaboom. Exploded. :)
