I find it impressive how many fan boys GGG has. You're convinced this was a good move because it makes you laugh? You're enjoying this because you like to laugh at other peoples misery? These are the people that GGG is catering too? Did I stumble into a game full of 12 year olds?

" I for one am convinced it's a good move, partly because it made me laugh (a lot), and partly because despite the huge potential downside (which is actually a plus side for the wider economy as a whole) the upsides seem to be good enough that people will keep using them anyway. I'd especially like to point out though, that games are for fun. That's the purpose they serve, to entertain us, to excite us, and yes maybe even provide us with some laughs. There's nothing wrong with that. |

It's a classic case of noob trap, including people with legacy items.
Would you divine an item with 99/100 roll? It MIGHT get better, but probably will get worse. Uniques (esp 6L) fall into the 99.99999 percentile of items of that base type. So of course you would be a fucking idiot to use them on those items. |

" After seeing some of the effing crazy results it can have, yes, I am utterly convinced this was a good move. You don't see it now, because people derped by using these on items right away. But this has created a whole new level of itemization. Someone made a BoR where the implicit is "gems are supported by cast on stunned". Not great, but what ELSE could it have rolled? Seriously, give it a while and we will have really fucking cool uniques in the game. A comprehensive, easy on the eyes loot filter:

" More importantly imo, they will actually be unique. I've qq'd in the past about my dislike for mirrors being in the game and loads of people all walking around with the same stuff, this fixes that. The best items won't be able to be mirrored and their stats will be as close to being genuinely unique as one could reasonably expect. |
