There are people who probably farmed for their items for months, and all GGG did was say "The worst that can happen is your item is just corrupted."

There should be a big fat warning on the patch notes saying: Uniques can be turned into rares.

Anyone defending GGG over this and blaming it on the players takes white-knighting to a whole new level. It's not right for a company to pull this on the people that support it, in many cases with hundreds of dollars.

That's fine. While you justify it there's people that will get mad and quit the game.

I'm personally not going to waste my time with these. I just feel bad for the people who were duped by GGG with their intentionally vague communication. The trolling should be kept to fishing jokes, not permanent game mechanics that result in lost items, unless it's all fully disclosed beforehand.
