FISHING ROD ( HOW CAN I USE IT )

Its a troll item. When someone links a verified fish in the forum, then its not a troll item. Til then, don't waste your time asking how to use it. You will just get trolled to death by people who are so fuckin smug they might actually choke on their own farts.

it dropped from 66 unique map boss i tried many thing to use it but still cant work damn!

ive been trying to figure it out... im convinced theres a vendor recipe using 3 albino rhoa feathers(based on a hint in a certain video w/chris)...but not sure what else yet... maybe fishscale gauntlets...maybe crown of thorns (based on sots flavor text) maybe skinning knife (you have to clean the fish right?)...maybe 3 portal gems...

im also convinced its already in the game...

someones just gotta figure it out then maybe they can *enlighten* us.

Don't think so man. Song of the Sirens was rumored to be in the game before they even started selling supporter packs, it's just that people only started finding them relatively recently. And you're making assumptions about it being useless, especially if you don't have a rod of your own to test out.

There is a far more pressing issue that I'm sure is on everyone's mind and obviously needs to be discussed: SotS has been nerfed, and nerfed hard. Those of us who have invested serious time and currency into preparing full fishing spec characters will need to have a serious rethink regarding late game strategy. IIQ gem was a really vital component in compensating for the reduced quantity of fish given by SotS, to the extent that I believe this combo may actually have been the true motive behind the IIQ gem nerf. It clearly should never have been allowed to stack with IFQ. I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to deal with it, but fear not, I'll make it work.

@OP: The item is what is known in the industry as a "troll doublé" (roughly translated to Double Troll). Such items are made to look like they are trolls, when in fact they aren't, as a means of trolling trolls with something that isn't a troll at all. Cool huh? I heard it's some European thing. I've sent you a PM, we'll take things from there.

So jealous of your SoTS... I really hope they don't nerf the IIQ of the unique. I am afraid it probably has tho since chris announced that all IIQ items are getting nerfed by 30%.



I have been trying to chance mine into the unique version for weeks. One of my fishing friends has a SoTS and keeps telling me of all the outrageous catches he has been getting. It is so much better than a normal fishing rod =/

Edit: Ha i can't believe I missed that =P I totally thought SoTS was IIQ AND IIR. Guess there is a reduced amount of IIQ. Still Exotic fish sounds way better!
