Flay' Flicker Finder - 800,054 DPS, 50/390MF, fast clear speeds. [New pics in MF gear/FAQs]

i uptaded my 4 gem : flicker ; melee splash ; multistrike ; melee physical damage to 20% and notw its sick , everything is melting down :D

I upgrade blood rage asap , thx ! iam hooked .
Im' currently leveling up with this build, i'd like to say i love the format you wrote this, easy to read and explains everything well. Keep it up sir!
Started my char 2 days ago. It's lvl 62 now and I have to admit it's a lot of fun. Can't wait to get to the point when I can actually start 1 hitting white mobs.
I had a question for you though:
I don't want to go mf on this char for now and I want to get maximum dps out it. I was wondering whether I should use Melee Damage & Added Fire Damage/Melee dmg on full life OR inc crit strikes & inc crit damage.
The problem is I just started using my shavs and it's impossible to get the right colors on it. Wasted liek 500 chromes trying to get BGRRRR but failed.

Can anybody help. I can't understand why my Flicker Strike DPS is so low. I'm at 2600 with all auras low life and 6 frenzy 4 power charges. I see tooltip in screenshot is 30k but he doesnt post a Pic of his full mf. I'm wearing full MF with IIR/IIQ gem. Just curious what I'm doing wrong. I'll link my dagger

I plan on upgrading that but 240 pdps isnt bad I dont think it would make that big of a dps difference does it. Thanks for the help!!
If you're using both IIR and IIQ your dps will be lower, as Sblak is using only IIR (no IIQ on dom). If you're using rings/ammy without damage stats that could be a difference too.

Likewise, most of the dps shots are with RF I think, which is a huge amount.

Also, your dagger has low base crit, which makes a fairly big difference.

For the most dps use one of the following combinations. This assumes you manage mana correctly and can afford to flicker with a 6l, which is only easy at high levels and with many max mana/mana on kill nodes or with potions.

1-3 Gem Slots
The base for every Flicker should be GRR:
Flicker > Melee Physical > Multistrike

4th Gem Slot
Melee Splash (AOE)
WED (Single Target)

5th Gem Slot
R - If you get RRRR I would do the following with my reds:
Flicker > Multistrike > Melee Physical > Melee Splash > WED (Low Life AOE)
Flicker > Multistrike > Melee Physical > WED > Added Fire (Low Life Single Target)
Flicker > Multistrike > Melee Physical > Melee on Full Life > Melee Splash (CI AOE)
Flicker > Multistrike > Melee Physical > Melee on Full Life > Added Fire (CI Single Target)
G - Additional Accuracy for anything or Cold Penetration for freezing bosses.
B - I have not found what I think is best in all circumstance. Critical Strikes as a second blue is OK, but it doesn't matter when DPS matter most, e.g. on bosses, because I use a diamond flask then. As a result I am playing with Increased AOE (destroys packs) / Concentrated Effect (destroys smaller packs) / Added Lightning Damage (how shocking!) / Added Chaos Damage (to be different).

6th Gem Slot
One of the final two slots on a 6l will be a blue slot, unless you somehow get all off-colors. That last slot should always be Critical Damage for the most damage per second.

@LemmiWInks
I can't run a +IIQ gem because I am in Domination. Thus my full MF with an IIR gem also includes a Critical Damage gem.

I will post a picture of my damage with full MF gear on tonight.

The reason your damage is so low is primarily your lack of crit chance/crit multiplier on that damage, and on other gear, and in your passives. PDPS doesn't matter half as much as the crit chance. Get a dagger with higher base crit, around 9, and even only 200 pdps and you will go up significantly in actual damage.

And yes, all of my pictures are with RF turned on.

It might actually be worth it (imo) if you could trade that dagger for a similar or maybe even lower dps that has a crit of 8 or 9...

Say you have a crit of 50% with all your power charges up right now... it would jump to 66% with a 9% crit dagger. Which is huge esp if you have a crit multiplier of like 500 or so. Not to mention diamond flasks...
Cool thanks for the tips guys. I'll try to get a better dagger
@LemmiWinks and @ReaperPi
Getting your base crit chance to 66% from 50% is a giant increase in damage. It is way more than the 33% increased critical chance suggests. Because most of our damage comes from crits, and not regular hits, improving crit chance and multiplier is the single most important way to improve damage.

1. For example (I am assuming a 100% chance to hit as a reduced hit change merely reduces all damage equally. With 90% chance to hit, you do exactly 90% of the following values) say you hit for 100 damage per hit. With no crit chance or multiplier you will average 100 damage.

2. With your stated 50% base crit chance and a 500% critical multiplier. If your average non-crit damage is 100 damage, then your tooltip will show that your average damage is 300.

3. If nothing else changes and your crit chance goes up to 66%, then the tootip will show the average damage to be 368.

4. If you increase your crit chance to 66% and your crit multiplier to 700%, your tooltip will show 502.

5. If you still have a base damage of 1,000, but you reach 85% crit chance and 850% crit multiplier, your tooltip will show an average damage of 738.

Best of all, this amazing increase in our damage is amplified with the critical weakness curse. Using that curse, these amounts go up incredibly high with higher crit and crit multiplier. Assuming a 20/20 crit weakness curse:

1. with no crit chance or extra multiplier (150% base), but with the curse, your actual average damage will be 108.

2. Your actual average damage will be 522.

3. Your actual average damage will be 637.

4. Your actual average damage will be 906.

5. Your actual average damage will be 1,362. This means that with just critical chance and crit multiplier, using the critical weakness curse, you will do 13.6 times your regular damage.
