1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

I know I probably won't reach lvl 100 soon but I like to plan ahead so can anyone suggest the 2 points I should remove from here? ( I wont take a passive point from any bandits so need 3 unspent)

Maybe Bloodless. I also didn't skill the Points after Endurance Charges because I use Cwdt with Immortal call.. so They don't last very long So I don't need the increased time or the life regen.

I am level 50 atm in act3 Cruel. Seems to be going along decently. In the battlefront....

Overall. While working on act3 cruel I am trying to build gear for Merciless and then doing farming Piety and them Maps.

Eventually, I want to have gear that has enough resists that I can refund passive skill points.

But right now (and the immediate future) I don't know where to begin with respect to gearing up for merciless and piety runs (and then beginning maps with respect to this build). I have been browsing poe.xyz for +life and + resists...but what amount of +life and +resists (cold/fire/light/chaos) should the gear have to prepare me for Merciless and beyond?



I've been trying to get gear with +life and resists. My resists are all +75 currently except for Chaos.

I just started but wanted to ask very simple questions.

In skill gems we have only 6 skills(?) but for skills we have 3 mouse buttons and 5 keyboard buttons so it's 8 and let's say 1 is reserved for basic attack so it's 7 but we gonna use only 6 skills?

Also you say that we shoudn't use sweep or cleave, but for the very beginning while we don't have anything better is it ok to use it? or maybe the more gems you have the slower other gems lvl up or something else?

which one i should use for this build?

I'm pretty sure that I got all the basic skills in the first 1-4 quests in act 1 normal so you don't really need sweep or cleave.As for the skill slots if you really want to fill the last one you can add immortal call or molten shell.

Start searching for a better Mace, your will be lvl57 soon an will be able to get a much better one for cheap, although i am not familiar with Domination prices. Also it's time to get at least another 4L (if not 5L).

What amount of Life/res?
As much as you can/enough to get you up to max (or very close) for the 3 elemental and as much chaos as you can (i was always at -60 chaos and didn't have any real issues).

Replace the AddFireDmg in your Armor with MeleePhysDmg or Multistrike (check out my previous posts about support gems).

Always keep "extra" gems on your gear (use a 5S weapon on your secondary slot also for that) so you can lvl them up, even if you don't have the xLink yet.
Then when you can add them in a link, they are already up to your lvl ;)

Yes you have only so many buttons to assign, but try and keep it simple: Just curse and then GS your way through ;)

You could use sweep or cleave, but then you would have to "transition" to GS later on. Best if you get used to GS right away imo, but whatever works for you.

You could definitely use a better Mace.
Armor has no life or res => same as white piece, replace ASAP!
Only a small amount of res (8%) in boots and no life (or move speed), could be better.

Im Lvl 64 now. My Elemental Ress is caped (all 77%) and 2,8k life.
