Endurance charges are necesary. There are no better nodes and they are super-cheap. Wait for Mercilles and then you will love every point spend into them.

The main advantage we're looking at is the 5%damage reduction, right? Or the 0.2% regen per endurance charge? Or like both lol.

Well I have been following this guide and so far my character isn't over powerful and frankly not very tanky. Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Current Level: 23 (Just killed Kraityn and it was a horrible fight, I was on the verge of dying the whole time)

Ground Slam is really weak and the hit box seems really messed up. Current damage is 40 and my damage on Heavy Strike is 91.1

Edit: Also, leap slam seems to be a better skill right now than ground slam.

Edit: Also, leap slam seems to be a better skill right now than ground slam.

You should be rolling your armor to get hp and such or by now least found an ok yellow... if you having dps issues get a 4 link someplace with proper gem supports and try sweep till you get higher level i preferred it till later 40-50ish then i used leap/ground slam if all else fails you can roll all the way to lvl 30 ish just using poison arrow with no skill points placed anywhere my items are a work in progress but here is some stuff to compare

Check Vendors every level (after level up, they restock). You will surely find much better gear, than yours

Leap Slam looks now better because you are overpowered right now. You can let critters hit you and then nothing happens. Later on each hit is very dargerous so you will be forced to attack from range. And there is no better skill for than than ground slam.
Stay&Hit tactics will soon kill you. Learn to kite

Dex for faster attacks will be.provided from 60dex from passive skill tree, and some from equipemnt i.e. onyx amulet. Keep in mind than faster attacks if used as 4th support gem, means you will have to have 5L. I you can afford 5L means you can sustain pathetic amount of dex that is required by faster attacks

Thanks for taking the time to write and maintain this! It is working well so far, at least lev 25 in A3 Normal.

There are two things I ran into as a newbie that I bet would help others to add:

1. For the skill gems, you mention they are all obtainable from rewards, so it would be great to list the Act/Diff/Name of the quest, to help us plan and know when to expect them (and not fear we have missed something).

2. If there are any obvious items to buy, say Geofri's Baptism at lev 27 and/or Marohi Erqi at 57, it would help a lot to list those and some even really vague estimate of how much it should cost. We're new and would probably get ripped off :)

Im having trouble now in act 3 cruel, my ground slam does 400dps heavy hit does 600dps/700 when using blood rage. I just cant seem to keep my life up I have 30+ on hit plus 7% leech from equipment and 1 passive.

You must be doing something wrong because I had 0 problems till a3 cruel. I facerolled everything else. Your equipment is really bad too. No offence.
