Hi, I was wondering why you pick pick Skull cracking (15% dmg 10% stun threshold) instead of Smashing blows (12% dmg 6% attack speed)?

1. Armor works only against physical damage
2. Armor works only against whites (others pierces armor)
3. But more armor, will result in lower life (and leech cap). It does not pay off, really - because we have high enough dps to cover cap.
4. I do not underestimate armor. Please notice we took Iron Reflexes and ~90% of armor. This will result in around 3k armor, while playing naked.

Yes, it is - and will result in 2x higher damage. But keep in mind you'll need much better gear, than in case of Ground Slam - due to pathetic range of Cyclone.
Personally I do not like this skill

Welcome to PoE. Shit just gets real.

Keraz - Drop Rate penatly
Drop rate = 2.5% per level - 5%
Therefore you can't have 'negative' drop rate - so you don't benefit from higher level of areas than yours.
Also Drop Rate Penatly touches only Orbs. Item Quantity nor Rarity has no penatly.

love the guide. I've been following it strictly and was wondering how strong is this build around 60+? I ask this because while i'm doing fine solo, when I join a group on the ledges I see people my same level owning in damage, speed, etc.

my ground slam seems to do nothing to others dual striking or fast hitting with shield or dual wield. I never see a 2hander being used.

Will we be buff as hell at 60+ with decent gear? (my gear is pretty sucky)

Might start another mara and pick the ground slam gem.

First, a quick improvement would be to remove the Item Quantity gem and swap it with Added Fire Damage, which isn't connected with any skill anyway.

Second, you may want to respec some of that shield points and get Blood Magic - this way you'll free the sockets filled by the Blood Magic gems and use Heavy Strike (or Glacial Hammer) with Life Leech or Life Gain On Hit instead.

Dps is reason I hate one-handers.
Generally I can see two ways:
- Using Facebreakers, but the you will be enable to use Ground Slam
- Getting Catalyse, nice elemental weapon and respeccing into elemental damage dealer

Also you can remove Item Quantity, for Added Fire Damage. You can try to remove Blood Magic Gem and get Mana Leech from gear, to sustain ManaCost, and replace it with, say, Concentrated Effect.

Get Geofri's Baptism, or another good mace near your level - then you will stop complain about damage, because you should 1-hit ko every white.

On the other hand, it's stupid to compare dual strike, which is 1vs1 skill to a Ground Slam which is AoE.

On the third hand, don't forget about huge survivality the build has. It would be much more important than stupid dps after reaching certain point.
Also you say, that your equipment is crap. Do you wanted to own in PoE naked?

Thanks for great guide Ninja, I have been using the build with little adjustments and so far it's great (lev 70 atm)

I have some questions about Lava lash and Catalyze, i see you added them to your build. I'd like to ask you if you made some test on these passives, because i think they work in an odd way.

My only fire damage is the support rune "added fire dmg", and I have a listed max fire damage of 423 with that support linked to heavy strike. I then added Lava Lash and got to 459 max fire damage. How can be the increment so low? My only other passives related to increased weapon elemental damage are 2x +10%.

I made a post in bug forum, I think this is odd, if anyone wants to share some data we all could know a lot more on these interactions. Someone replied that you should add the +30% to phys damage so it scales bad, it could be reasonable but i don't think it's so easy

With Added Fire Damage Catalyse works additevely with Melee Physical Damage (or so).
Means, if you have 300% increased physical damage, and get calayse you will encounter only 10% increased overall damage.

You did by 9% or something.

Keep in mind, that Melee Physical Damage also infulences Added Fire Damage

im stuck in act 3 merci. i cant really solo anything sewers and past. i just fucking cant. maybe its how i play my marauder or some shit i just dont know.

i cant link up a lot of my support gems simply because fusings hate me. and i cant find any gear worth a shit that has the right links.

im level 63 right now. im pretty much forced to either run the ledge until i find better gear. or just sit back in pub parties while everyone else kills shit because i take large amounts of damage.
