[1.0.4] CI Flameblast/Infernal Mantle Burning Witch - updated! farm 73map with friendly gears

Following your build.
Flameblast is not good for leveling
So i used a 4L Searing Touch with searing bond and Goldrim Leather Cap for res.
and I soloed till lvl 50 with like 4-5 deaths in domination league ( 2 from Dominus).

WILL USE THIS GEAR TILL 60s and then turn to ES have already bought the wand

1.Advantage

a.Huge damage and farm maps quickly.

b.Offer the better curse effect.(110%)

c.Can deal with elemental reflect because this build can own 81% max fire resistance and vaal pact.


Some friends ask i make the one-hand & shield version. The gears would be more friendly and own the more defense. I will try it. You can also give me some suggestions. Thanks. :)

Currently lvl 79, very solid build. Going to give my little quick review of it.

I have maxed res 75/75/75/100. My Flameblast has 891.5 tooltip dps @ lv 17. I have 5.3k es w/o discipline. I went Elemental Equilibrium.

I leveled with Searing Touch + Fireball until about lv 62.

My modification: 4L summon skeleton totem: Spell Totem - summon skeleton - faster casting - blind.

This totem helps me at bosses that flicker/warp/or does huge amounts of damage (e.g. Brutus)

MY GEAR CURRENTLY:



The Advantages:
-Relatively Safe Build, High survivability
-Great solo ability
-Marvelous synergy
-Not Slot/Link intensive (Just prefer a 5L/6L on mantle).
-Quite inexpensive to build (About 10 ex can get you very well equipped).
-Easy to Level
-Respectable damage output.
-Excellent mobbing ability (either killed in blast or burned to death, how macabre)
-Some ability to block spells (w/ Globe + Stride)

The Drawbacks:
-Lagging behind in parties (slow cast speed of flameblast)
-Vulnerable to Bleeding (Like all CI ES builds, just make sure your flask removes bleeding)
-Fast moving bosses are difficult to pin down (e.g. Melee Rogue Exiles).
-Limited Auras (due to Infernal Mantle, choose either clarity or discipline or face 100% incoming spell dmg).
-Low mobility (flameblast requires you to stand still)
-Reflect can be a problem if you are not careful (Ruby Flask can mitigate reflect)

Great build overall 9/10. I was really nitpicking in finding the drawbacks, nothing really threatens this build if you are careful.

You don't. Don't get CI til you have like 2-3k+ ES. Act 2 on Merciless is a good time to take CI, just make sure you have the gear for it and run Discipline if needed.

Is there a which leveling tree for a Life build? I see the 40 one, but the level 60 one it is switched to CI. Sorry I am fairly new to the game!!

Does cast speed affect how quickly Flameblast reaches 10-stack?

Yes. At 0% increased cast speed, every stack takes 0.3 seconds to channel - so 3 seconds for 10 stacks.

100% increased cast speed reduced this to 0.15 seconds per stack (1.5 for 10).
