[1.0.4] CI Flameblast/Infernal Mantle Burning Witch - updated! farm 73map with friendly gears

Nope, I always carry Bleed flasks and am pretty good at catching that early. I literally died -instantly- after releasing my flameblast. The elite mob also clearly had a "allies have elemental reflect" mod on him.

Carry a ruby flask, it does wonders to prevent you from killing yourself, atleast with my dps and 5k ES. You should be able to pop one for allmost every rare, even if you're not sure on their mods.
8k es? no discipline? how could this happen -_-
I have a question about Elemental Equilibrium. It's my first time using it and I thought I understood it, but now I'm a bit confused. When you're fighting mobs that have "resist fire" and you use coldsnap, it doesn't make them vulnerable to fire even though it says it gives them -50% res to other elements. So how exactly do you go about using the coldsnap+flameblast combo with mobs that have resist fire?
So, based my build on the OP's build (changed just a few nodes here and there) and so far, it's pretty decent.
Neat survivability for a Witch, too.
Great for soloing things; it gets frustratingly slow in parties of more than two/three people, though, since by the time I build up my Flameblast, everything is usually dead.
On the plus side, everyone loves my Cold Snap ;D

I have some serious troubles with Ele reflect, I end up one-shotting myself quite a lot if I fail to spot an Ele reflect monster.

The one big downside of this build, at least for me, is low mobility and the freeze effect of Cold Snap being kinda unreliable in some tight situations (monsters either un-freeze too soon or Cold Snap fails to freeze them).

Also, while OP's claim about this build being very gear independent is true, I find that if your gems are 0% quality, it kind of cuts your effectiveness.

EDIT:

I just found out that with this build, you can easily run both Disci and Clarity auras, with just the Reduced Mana gem (no special mana-reducing talents needed).
With both auras on, I currently have about 220 unreserved mana and it proved to be enough, when soloing :)
I'd probably run out of mana incredibly quickly in parties, but in parties, I don't need to have two auras active.

I observed that EE is good. Specially to those fire resist mobs. Go cast cold snap + flammability + flameblast. After that blast, go cast cold snap again. And u will see the crazy burning damage.
Question for those in the know! Please and thank you 😊 I've seen a few BBQ blaster builds around the forums and all of the videos show people casting FB, stage whatever to whatever, releasing and it seemingly casting almost immediately.

I thought there is a delay period after releasing the button? And on mine it feels like forever lol. No cast speed/faster casting used in some of the builds either, same thing. Nice, fast n smooth where mine feels super clunky. Hrm, any ideas? Thanks!

@Teflondon: Yes,there is a delay period after releasing the button, but if you move your character during that period, the blast will happen immediately.
The blast will also happen immediatelly if you cast another spell right after realeasing your Flamblast button ;)
ohh! well that is useful info! Thanks haha
