Here is my final build for a life MoM/AA version of the build. I play with searing Touch instead, witch lets me grab 5 links for both cold snap and flameblast.

The static blow area in the top is to shock from Cold Snap-Elem prolif-Added Lightning-Conc. effect-increased AoE . You may skip it totally if you go for infernal mantle and use those 6 points on life and cast speed near the witch/shadow area where you already picked some aura boost.

you should be able to run diciple-clarity-purity of fire without much problem so reflect doesn't hit that hard, thanks to purity+MoM+AA.

You don't. Don't get CI til you have like 2-3k+ ES. Act 2 on Merciless is a good time to take CI, just make sure you have the gear for it and run Discipline if needed.

Gear: Wep, armor, belt, gloves are good. Helm, rings and ammys are far from being best - just took what i had in stash. Have 5500ES and capped resists. Running discipline+clarity.




- Totems are crap indeed. Even if you spec in double totem and take many totem passives, they are too slow and burn from 2 totems doesnt stack. Don't use flameblast with totems.

- Gems are: flameblast - faster casting - concentrated effect - chance to ignite - proliferation - increased burning (this can be swapped to leech)

- With CI i only use life leech on ele reflect maps (i also activate purity of fire as 3-rd aura there and sometimes use ruby flasks). On other maps es regen with zealoth's oath is enough to stay alive. Even if i meet reflect rare, i can pop ruby flask and either go full charge (if there;s no trash around) or not full charge if there are a lot of minions. Note that i play on softcore. If you play on HC, your experience may vary.

- Still using flammability + elemental weakness. Imho this is a good way to boost both initial hit and burn damage.

- Tried equillibrium with cold snap trap instead of second curse. Didn't like it because:
1. Need additional time to throw trap. So i better spend that time casting another curse which boosts both initial blast and burn than to activate equillibrium.
2. Cold snap freezes enemies. Frozen enemies shatter and don't proliferate burn. This is very bad.

- I only play in groups. In good groups (people with mirrored bows, soul takers and other really good gear) the build has an issue of taking too long to charge the blast. While you're getting 10 charges, all trash mobs are killed by your teammates. And i have 0.14 cast time on my blast now (would be nice to know OP's current cast time - is it somewhere around 0.10?). If you play solo or people in your group don't have a gazillion dps, you won't have this issue. Anyway, this is true for sub-77 maps. On 77-78 it gets better. And good news is - you don't need to always get 10 charges. Even 2-3 is enough to do some good damage to trash. On rares/bosses you can always get full 10 charges and do some serious damage.

- I still experiment with gems in chest/boots. Currently run:
Low-level cwdt + summon skellies + decoy + enduring cry on boots.
And lv1 cwdt + lv1 ice nova + 20/20 added lightning + 20/20 added chaos + 20/20 leech on chest (will also add lvl1 shock nova once i 6L my chest).
This helps to survive without life leech on flameblast, but not really a must-have. Just need something on auto-cast cause in group i don't have time to cast anything except 2 curses and flameblast.

Like the idea with your build, thinking about respeccing into something similar.
Just have a few questions. Hopefully someone can help me here.

Why use Elemental Proliferation on Flameblast? Isnt the chance to ignite already 99/100%
Q20 FB 30%
Chance to ignite 45/46% Infernal/Searing Staff
Q20 Increased Burn 10%
Flammability 14%

99% with Mantle or 100% with Staff or am I missing something like diminishing returns?


Also how does the 25% Chaos dmg work on Infernal mantle? Doesnt that reduce the burn dmg by making the initial hit with fire lower?
I can answer you about proliferation. It spreads further than your initial blast radius. So it affects a lot of mobs that were not initially caught in blast. Same goes for mobs that notice you a bit later and rush to you. And you'll especially love to see those fast corpse-eater mobs trying to chew on the flaming corpse.

Hi !

I've seen your build and i'm doing it 'cause i like it, and it's pretty strong.

I'm lvl 52, i don't have too much problem except the armour.

I have a armour/ES build, but i only have 1200 armour so 32% of physical damage reduction, and i die really fast against (for exemple) the monsters in The Imperial Garden..

So how much armour do/did you have ? And have you some advice to avoid dying against those type of foe ?
(I began with a life build, i have 1377 life and 706 ES)


(EDIT : And how do you get always Critical Strike with this build and gear ? )

Hey, is this build HC-viable? Did you die many times while leveling?
Looking for a build for the new league, thinking about flameblast one...
Just turned level 30 with this build. I'm really enjoying it!
can I use voidbringer and infernal mantle with this build?
