Barrage Wonder Wanderer – how to DEMOLISH maps (1.3.X)

So, since I haven't played this in weeks, and that's the first time I see desync complaints with this build - are you sure it's the build? Maybe it's some kind of temporary global problem, I don't know...
You have to be realistic about these things.

well what can i say, desync it's like a fucking wife for me every single time it ruin my game, but if i have no desync i think this game its so bored, so love and hate him desync its the most important part of this game.

PS: i hate the fucking desync...
Been wondering which flasks we should use and which mods on them are optimal for this build.
currently level 49 and got really hard problems with getting the needed strenth for life leech :o
anyone experienced the same problem?

Use what you will while you level. In endgame, you will want a surgeon's mod on all flasks since it allows you to spam them all the time. The specific type of flasks depends on your preference, but it's always nice to have one flask of each resistance type (including amethyst) and a complementary set of granite+jade flask of iron skin/reflexes. At least one bubbling/seething/panicked life flask would also be nice, as well as one flask of warding. I used to run with 2 health flasks, one amethyst flask of warding and granite + quicksilver flask or reflexes (as a cheaper version of a jade flask). The ruby/topaz/sapphire flasks - just for specific bosses.

This build has enough strength in endgame, but you might have problems with stats while leveling. If you're worried this will slow the gem's leveling, don't. You can level a support gem from level 1 to 16 in endgame content in a very short time. You can temporarily take a +30 strength node or to get +strength on gear if it bothers you too much.

OK, this is what I came up with, assuming you're dual wielding wands:

Explaining a bit of my reasoning:
- templar tree has little crit nodes, the best way to get crit is power charges + twin terrors node
- accuracy is very important for a CoC build because it's calculated two times for criticals: 1. your attack has to hit; 2. if it hits, your accuracy is calculated once again and if it's a miss, you deal a normal hit instead of a critical. Therefore, you'll need dexterity, so going for CI won't be a good idea because all the CI nodes are in the intelligence section and you'll end up with next to no dexterity. Even with that build, you'll want 2-3 good accuracy rolls on your gear.
- the aura nodes are always good

I think you'll need Maligaro's and Rat's Nest plus two diamond rings to reach a respectable crit chance.

That looks nice. Lots of life. Hadnt tried going that way.

This is what i had. No accuracy really but nice crit and power charges.

I was thinking i could use a 20% inc accuracy gem in my 6L since it also gives 80% crit asits quality bonus.

What ya think?

I'd definitely pick that additional power charge in the shadow section.

More crit than my tree, a bit less HP, but not much. Looks like a good plan, the only think I dislike is that intelligence is essentially a wasted stat for that build, since you need about 150 to equip a good wand - the higher-level wands are unnecessary because you don't care about weapon damage - and yours has 300 intelligence at the cost of less dexterity.

Perhaps the accuracy gem will compensate, though. And you do have a bit more crit multiplier and firestorm-specific nodes as well as critical chance, so maybe it's a good tradeoff.

edit: also, your tree doesn't have dual wield-specific nodes, so you'll have more gear options.. but you will really want gear with solid +accuracy rolls

You have to be realistic about these things.

I also experience the same desync issues with this build. Only using a 5L, no chain right now, and it's nearly impossible to stay alive in maps since attacks rarely connect past the first barrage and you start teleporting all over the place and getting hit by invisible mobs. Mostly I just chug a granite flask and fire in random directions hoping something connects for leech.

It's a fantastic build and extremely effective at room clearing but for whatever reason the server isn't playing nicely with it. If someone has a fix for that this build would be an absolute monster map clearer.

On 140/25 internet with no packet loss or ping spikes.

I have the same problems w desync (good internet, no packet loss etc). 5l with no chain.

I run mostly maps now and I notice the issues there most. When I was farming lunaris / docks it wasn't as bad, but noticeable occasionally.) Not sure if it's relevant but like I said when I started doing maps is when I noticed the biggest difference.

I'm not sure if its this build or 1.1, but I now have a macro that hits return, /oos, return. Seems to help a little.

I have played multiple builds in the last league, but this is the only build so far I'm playing in Ambush - so I don't have another toon to compare with yet.

Otherwise fantastic build and I enjoy every minute of it, just got my rats nest and that's improved my game noticeably :)
Hey Everyone,

What do you think of my build so far for an attempt?

I feel like my resistances are low - i know i need a new belt and amulet but i'm having a hard time keeping up to the stats needed for my gear. without the added Str or Int i can't wear most of what i have.

Spoiler
Thanks!
Question about life leech and the cast on crit builds -- softcore -- what makes it so necessary to get Vaal Pact and use Life Leech gem for high end mapping? I believe it's effective and way less glass cannony, but is it totally necessary? Can a cast on crit wander do at least many high level maps and farm effectively without leech or insanely expensive gear?

I'm poor, but for aesthetic reasons (lighting the screen on fire), I really want to GMP/Fireball/2 other ridiculous elemental spells instead of EK, and also pass on life leech gem, but still be able to do most high end maps. How bad of an idea is that going to be?

If leech is totally necessary to play CoC wander on a budget, can your build work fine using GMP+barrage+Life Leech+Elemental spells instead of your gems, or is that a disaster idea?

Also... I'm seeing lots of cast on crit bow builds that use elemental spells and this build swears by ethereal knives.. if I want to use elemental spells and GMP instead of EK is that fine or is there some reason bow builds are better suited?
