Beating Nemesis without rares or uniques

Pretty crass waste of time just to prove a point which isn't really more than a personal opinion. Would have been easier to just ignore the people you feel are whining or rmting and move on.

Imagine what you might have achieved playing the game the right way with the same time/effort.

Love this mentality,

What do you think is the most fun?

Playing the game normally for a week.

Challenging yourself for a week?

I would go for option B, personally.

I'd go with the option that has the highest potential to generate currency. So will anyone who values their time. Time is money and money is power/freedom.

The more in game currency you have, the more freedom you have to make to builds you want to, farm the areas you want to, etc.

It simply isn't logical to create fake "challenges" for yourself. I'm sure you could use a bicycle in a car race, but it makes no sense, and anyone doing it the right way is going to laugh at you.

I shudder to think how boring your life must be if you find someone else forcing themselves to play a video game incorrectly entertaining.

I would say every single person has a different view of time well spend. If the op considers challenging himself as fun, then it is not for you to decide he is wrong. That is all.

I challenge myself constantly in this game with personal challenge's and they are a great WASTE OF TIME, gathering currency and farming is all cool and shit's if you enjoy it. Some people value different things then you apparently, Big woop.

And i would gladly challenge a car with a bicycle. Imagine the joy if i win by chance. And even if not at least i gave it my best go and had a lot of fun doing so. I have about 1500 allts, 250 chaos,250 alchs 50+ exalts and etc on hc. I don't use them, i don't trade etc. Big woop i don't need them to enjoy myself in the game. At the same time i never endlessly grinded for currency, which i consider to be a very dull game experience.(i consider this dull, i imagine a lot of people actually enjoy this and i acknowledge that)

Its fine when you dont think this a "challenge".
Its fine when you dont like the way how he beat Nemesis.

But for Gods Sake, can you stop bitching around here then?

Let him write his journey and let the one who like it follow.
NotRegreat know he dont make something UBER SPECIAL AWESOME NOONE ELSE BEFORE shit.
He just make a journey with his own rules, prove some points from his OP, teach abit here and there and give us a fuckin good read.

Dont hear to these haters, still a joy to follow your Journey!

Did you really just use a real life analogy for a computer game? I always find the people in this game who are scrambling to the top in an attempt to conquer all a little sad, at least the ones who confuse it with real life accomplishment (not assuming you do). I guess to you a successful build is only one that crushes high end map content?

All gaming is mostly a getaway from the day to day grind, it does not matter how you do any of it because it is next to meaningless in any real terms and if it is not pure enjoyment then find something else because it is all it should be.

This is the most wrong way to play a game

You play a game for FUN, not to gather the most currency possible... i don't play the most efficent build if it's boring to play for me.

You're really a sad person

Why don't you go out and get currency in REAL LIFE. If you are going to intentionally do something boring for the sake of personal gain it makes a lot more sense to do it in the real world instead of a virtual one.

Whats a chaos orb cost? Like 50 cents on one of those RMT sites? Maybe evne less because they give discounts if you buy in bulk Even if you got a job doing $8 an hour thats still 16 chaos an hour thats more than you can get in game even if you ran piety with incredibly high MF gear. You could get even more orb effiency if you were doing a real job that payed closer to $15 an hour (30 chaos an hour) If you are worried about getting banned all you need to do is launder your RMT orbs through multiple accounts and trades. I'm pretty sure thats how the you do it without getting caught. There must be some loop hole otherwise the chinese wouldn't bother to waste their resources on PoE.

Time is money and money is freedom like you said. True freedom in PoE can be earned best working 9-5 I guess. Who cares about fun when you can get virtual money?

inb4 notregret is a RMT user
Looking at that shield you use, i would say you definitly use RMT, how else could one attain such a piece of awesomeness.

Btw don't care for that dude, he is probably new to the concept of playing games ...

I told him he can enjoy his virtual pixels :) all that needs to be said when he utters the words "rich" in combination with "game".
