yea as I said I need to lvl my skills a bit...but even at lvl20 PoF will only add 1% more to max fire res. Based on the damage I took, there's no way I could swap out beaks without degen. I would regen without the swap though. Maybe if my vit gem was lvl17 as well? Without swapping now, I can suck down ruby pots every now and then and it's fine.

I started as marauder because the starting nodes seemed easier to lvl with...at least for me. Wouldn't the DoT from 'Growth and decay' add to the burn damage the character takes, thus negating the additional regen? My build is based off of the original...because I didn't even know it had been changed lol

As a noob, and dirt poor after the gear, I can't just simply buy gems level 18.

On a side note: I'm thinking of taking the old base regen path and starting a new marauder 1H+shield hack'n slasher...cuz it was AWESOME to tank huge groups of mobs without having to use 1 pot!!

#1 redbeak swap adds to damage but doesnt affect degen in any way.

#2 lvl17 pof effect + Sovergeinity + Holy Strenght + 0.03 more buff effect from Inner Force cluster makes u go 89% fr.
(1+0,12+0,08+0,08+0,03+0,03)*3=4,02 FR
With lvl20 pof effect u need all the buff effect nodes and then u get 91% fr.
(1+0,12+0,08+0,08+0,03+0,03+0,03+0,15)*4=6,08 FR
I guess 91% FR isnt worth it tho cos with lvl20 pof and no buff effects u get 90% FR which makes u degen 90*0,1=9. With 91% FR degen is (1+0,03+0,03+0,03+0,15)*90*0,09=10,044

#3 Blooddance uniq boots give u 3% life regen while running and killing so that helps alot.

Necro noted me these tips earlier so I think these should be right.

Hello, the snapshot part of RF won't be changed as it's how the skill is made, this is also confirmed by a developer in the RF thread. With regards to gear swapping after RF cast, if it gets changed it will impact the damage but will not break the build. There are other ways to boost the damage like dual curse, shock stacks, etc..we will certainly see in the next patch! :)

Hello, thanks for noticing that on the spreadsheet! It must have hapenned a few days back when we put in the RF damage calculation, will get fixed!

With regards to going RF at level 65 it works, if you cannot sustain RF you are missing something, either fire resistance or regeneration. The buff nodes +3% from holy strength and +3% from the first inner force passive are needed to get to +34% buff to auras in case your purity of fire is between level 17-19 (which gives +1% to maximum fire resistance, 3 * 1,34 = 4).
Once purity of fire is level 20 you only need the 28% aura buff from sovereingty to get that extra 1%

When I first made the guide growth and decay cluster was not in yet, the guide is now optimized to implement this cluster as it is easier to go RF at level 65 with it.

With regards to swapping to dual redbeaks, you're only supposed to cast RF with dual redbeaks at low life and then swap back to your weapon and rise of the phoenix.

The build is insane I love it :) At level 71 I just soloed Dominos on Merciless without going to town for refuel of the potions and I forgot to get Topaz flask as well :)

Btw have anyone tried to link life leech support gem to RF, does it work?

Im thinking about it mostly for harder monsters, rare/boss fights, cause regular mobs (at least on lvl 66 maps and in catacombs) melt fast enough (at least in solo).

Dual curse would be sweet, but it would require spending 11 points, so Im not sure if its worth it.
Do you run maps in parties, or solo? What about EE in parties, do people complain about it?

What excatly is the difference between RF snapshotting and RF gearswap?
