Necro's pure righteous fire build HC, 90% phy dmg reduction, cheap! (5 seconds piety vid) lvl89

With the current price of Rise of the Phoenix I cant afford it, Is any other option to continue this build without that shield? because I have my Scion lvling up because in the begining it was a cheap build but now...

Im afraid its kinda impossible, or at least very risky to run this build w/o the shield (which I just bought for 48 chaos, crazyness) - youd have to struggle not to die because of the mobs AND the degen...

On the other hand, you could try grabbing some AOE spell and try to leech degening HP with the damage, but no idea if that would work. And always keep a flask to extinguish the flames should something go wrong.

ALSO, QUESTION! Can I roll this build as a marauder? Build does not seem to take any Scion-exclusive nodes, and I must say Im kinda sick of her myself...

This is incredible, just when i send this message i bought one of them at 13 chaos!! really thanks to the guy who did that favour to me (because im new, and i started to follow this guide because the "cheap" in the title hehe).

It is unfortunate that the price of this item has developed like this. To be honest it is something I didn't see coming but can understand as the league is coming to an end and the demand seems to be rising. I will make a note in the guide for new players that want to try this build in nemesis.

I plan to do this build again in the next HC league completely from scratch, fine tune and optimize where possible. we'll see how that goes in a new league wrt to prices.

BTW, wouldnt fire penetration help more than increased burn damage? Or does it backfire, lowering your OWN resistance too?

Well it is quite cheap to be honest, The Rise of the Phoenix is the most expensive piece of the build and it is only 1,5 ex. :)

I want to make a rf build but there are a couple version out there, the passives are mostly the same but there are a few points that are sometimes different (like some take elemental equibilirium or this one takes resolute technique) so its a bit hard to "choose" which one to follow. Though most play the same, i just am a bit indecisive, for example how you deal with totems?

Hello, well the build is still extremely cheap for its effectiveness due to the fact that your DPS is also your survibability and because gearing the rest of the character is both easy and cheap. Taking into account the shield price at this moment you can have quite a good geared character for less than 4 exalts worth of currency which, in my opinion, it's still very cheap and in reach for everyone. Also I want to do this build again in the next HC league and see if it really is feasible starting from zero, we'll see! :)

Unfortunately fire penetration doesn't work as RF doesn't hit anything it's just damage done to any enemy that comes into the AOE like the burning damage from firetrap.

Hello, this build focuses on RF as being your only source of damage and boosting HP and physiscal damage reduction as much as possible for survibability. The damage from RF alone is enough for me and I rather use the other passive points boosting defences. For totems I use discharge atm which one shoots them with 7 endurance charges but flameblast can be used as well, just make sure you trigger EE first on them.

In the end to everyone their own flavour :) check a few vids from the different builds and choose the one that you like the most and fits your playstyle.
