If you get better belt, boots, rings, etc you could try Geoffris Crest Helmet. +1 all gems and just use empower with vitality, purity of fire and reduced mana in that. That would push fire res over 90%. As for resistances if you somehow find a way to overcap without that rapier you could try using Bloodseeker claw for improved life gain on hit with cyclone. I might be wrong tho. I am however gonna try this out once I level a marauder to lvl 80+.

Right now I'm actually using Bringer of Rain+Facebreaker's, with some Lightning Damage on a Ring to trigger EE.

There have been changes to the passive skill tree that allows us to take
faster / more efficient routes.
This is not the plan of the master!

Should be mentioned that instead of Cyclone with a sword...

-Spectral Throw
-GMP/LMP
-Life Gain on Hit
-Blood Magic

...This way you can use a Dagger with +3 to Fire gems and...
-Reduced Mana
-Purity of Fire
-Empower

---If you have any ele damage on gear or the dagger, it'll proc EE and give you a lvl 26 Purity of Fire with maxed Gems. and only take a lvl 13 Purity of fire to make the build work.

The reason for cyclone is that you WANT to be in the middle and cyclone has pretty much the same AoE as RF. Plus cyclone+life on Hit regenerates ridiculous ammounts of health faster than ST with LmP (tried both and cyclones survivability is just insane)

So is there a new tree because of 1.0.3? I'm up to almost level 40 in nemesis with this build and so far I've been using unique 2hs (wideswing and then grofris) with leap slam and heavy strike+ splash. its relatively easy going even though I have some scares. I'm way more used to having a shield and my gear is pretty bad lol
