Sorry if this has been asked before,but how this change is applied to adder's touch??Also i don't really get the "damage bonus" on unique bosses.It is only related to Damage over time,or it is a generall damage bonus,cause u know,76-77 bosses,already hit very very hard.

these are absolutely the vaguest set of announcements ever!
The patch notes better really explain this change really well.. There are so many passives, uniques and skill combinations that its really hard to understand how all of them interact with this new change. |

Burning Miscreations apply a debuff in an area around them that causes burning damage. Will this burning damage now be modified by support gems that previously required a "hit" like Fire Penetration and Increased Item Rarity? In-Game-Name: Lezli

i think dmg over time effects should be exactly that, dmg over time.
to explain: if a monster is hit with viper strike, it should get dmged for 300 over 5 sec (making the numbers up but i think u'll get my point) by that system dmg would be scaled like Chris explained but would also make it possible to use reduced duration support gem which in this case would reduce it 3 sec, so the dmg would be 300 over 3 sec u'd basically be able to concentrate effect with that and still have all the modifiers effect the dmg similar could be done with poison arrow, just make it so that every monster that is hit by poison cloud gets poison effect on it instead of getting dmged while in the cloud. however, the cloud would reset the timer in that case which could happen cca ever 5 sec unless it is supported with reduced duration gem. hope this makes sense XD |

The DOT changes are good for players and absolutely retarded for mobs. Now shit like alchemists, viper strikers, etc will absolutely rape us, more than they already can. And I hope that this shit does not apply to corrupting blood.

Very nice. Looking forward to playing with Viper Splash. With the change to the DoT, I'm assuming this affects Bleed damage as well? If so, does that mean Dominus' bleed effect will be even more potent?
