nice, so let me get this straight:
Burning arrow avatar of fire example: Fire damage / projectile damage / elemental damage / weapon elemental damage all increase fire and burning damage? But since the physical damage is being converted non of them is true for all my damage... Ok so burning arrow says: Gain 30% of physical damage as extra fire 1) for this damage all above mentioned increases apply to fire damage and burning damage 2) for all my converted phys damage, they only increase the fire damage (which then intrinsically increased the burning damage....) Calculation with numbers: We assume I do 100 damage -> BA= 100 phys +30 fire Let's assume I have 100 % increased fire/projectile/ed/etc/ and aof So my burning arrow does now 200+60 fire and burning damage is 200/3*4= 266.67 + 60/3*4 *2= 160 = total burning damage of 426.67 pre patch the last factor 2 should not exist so it should be: 346.67 So the patch should bring around 20% increased burning damage in the above example any complains? " Templar armour/es gear + EB and using MoM with Arctic is by far the most OP defensive option i've ever tried. It requires a lot of gear investement yes but you barely take any dmg. It even reduces huge physical smashes to something that's easily migitated. No amount of armour + charges + flasks can amount to that. |

" Im pretty sure in the example above only fire and elemental damage will increase burning damage, directly. The others will increase the damage of the initial fire hit, which the burn is initiated off of. Last edited by PhreEkGarden on Nov 26, 2013, 7:37:58 AM

" mh... if weapon elemental damage counts as attack modifier, fine I agree it does not increase the burning damage. However, if projectile damage increases the poison cloud damage, I assume it increases the burning damage of burning arrow? Last edited by Lordpharazon on Nov 26, 2013, 7:55:19 AM

" Seems like different scenarios to me. Poison arrow is a projectile and is creating the cloud. Burning arrow is a projectile, but the burning damage is an after effect of the initial hit and is not specific to what caused the burning, only the amount of damage done. |

" could be that your are right. But burning arrow has a "build in" ignite chance ;) Anyway will not make a big difference for me , looks like I get some free burning damage on patch day ;) p.s only three quotes may be embedded within each other... |
