Some things I have experienced different from you.
It's very difficult for even high leach, high resist, high life melee builds. Not really. The ele traps dont hurt out of -max, his bear traps do. Ruby or topaz flasks make them a joke. A melee build can generally swap to saffell for high spell block and has high armor, so its not even fazed that much by the bear traps either. For your build, a bear trap or 2 can easily take you out though. Then again, you can easily avoid the bear traps once you get used to the throw animation. Usually very high DPS build are physical ones. They can go 15k+ but there is no way to mitigate monster armor like it can be done with lightning. U have high listed DPS but the actual DPS is lower. Very wrong! ... physical is the best pvm dmg because monsters have so low armor, that even if you do 500 per hit it penetrates easily, up to 95% + of it. Anyway, is there a variant of your tree with more ES that you tested? Maybe 6500+? Have you tried temple? shrine? crematorium? jungle valley? torture chamber? academy? dominus? half / no regen / ele reflect / curse immune maps? tnx in advance Last edited by theamazingjojo#6642 on Dec 24, 2013, 2:43:23 AM

Hey,
i am going to start a totem build and i wondered if your build could be used for a storm call totem build? There would be huge changes to make? hey ..im trying to follow your build .so far on lvl 55..and before i start big thanks for it
and have a few questions 1.in your youtube vids when ur not in combat u suddenly heal at a rapid pace...what are u using for that ? 2.how is your health so high ? im on lvl 55 and only at 1k and my build just follow yours. 3.in your build there is no spell totem ..how is it you cast them ? . 4.when u cast the arc totems ..how do u cast the dual curses and which one first ? sorry if some of those questions sounds idiotic..im only playing this game a week now :) |

" OP hasnt posted in a long while, I can help you out (1) Energy shield happens to regen out of combat, after x seconds of not taking damage. By itself, at a rate of 33% / sec. I say x seconds because its 6 seconds normally, but passive points can reduce it to half or less. (2) His energy shield is high, not his hp. This is not a life build. He happens to have energy shield gear, and increased ES passive nodes, as well as CI and infused shield keystones, and lots of intelligence. All increase ES dramatically. Generally ES users can get a bigger pool than life users. (3) He gets the spell totem from the unique chest itself, 'Soul Mantle'. Its required for this build, you cant use another chest. (4) I dont think it really matters which one first, you can cast 2 curses if you have the kesytone whispers of doom, or if you have the unique items doedre's damning ring / windscream boots. how good would this build work for farming merciless dominus? I'm sure the first and second stages are a breeze. but the third might cause a problem with the bleeding no? you would have to take at least 2 flasks with dispel bleeding.

I'm back.
Wow a lot of posts in my absence. My build is at lvl 87. I haven't played with this char for some time now, that's why i haven't posted here anything. But i will share info if u PM me. Some of u did this. I have done some 72+ maps. What i can't do with this build is the Jungle Valley map boss, until now. Since arc targets only 3 monsters (9 in total)u get overwhelmed quite fast by the spiders. |

If you had to pick two ideal support gems for Arc, would it be Lightning Pen and FC?

Yes.
But you really need Elemental Proliferation as well. These are the 3 must have ones for sure. If u plan to use a 4 socket item then and you want your totem to still be able to massively shock, then go totem+arc+FC+Elemental Proliferation. Lightning pene is for dmg boost. Elemental proliferation is the one that can get you +90% of your total DMG when 3 stacks of shock are up. And, if you use only a 4 socket item, it means that this is not your main skill, so shocking the entire screen would make more sense than dmg output.
