[Strongest Solo Variation: Projectile Madness Spectres] LMP/GMP Ice Spear 2x Totem 2x Curse 3x Traps

Would it be possible for you to show how to use your build effective in combat via video?

I seem to be having trouble actually keeping my totems alive and maybe cause I left my LMP at level one due to dex requirements in the higher levels.
Thanks for the quick replies and putting up with my simpler questions :p

2) yes. ok for questions like this, it's very easy to just read the skill description on the skill gem (on wiki)

Description: Bear trap (trap, spell, duration). Hence the reason bear trap is so OP because it does ridiculous physical non-elemental dmg that scales with spell dmg, spell crit and multiplier. basically physical dmg that scales with spell bonus = broken.

To be fair, that is what I thought, but I don't think you can really just point to where it says "spell" and say that makes it clear. The wiki also notes while it is a spell it does not benefit from +spell damage, and as you noted it doesn't benefit from +cast speed (which it being a spell makes that counter intuitive), so I don't think it is particularly intuitive for it to benefit from +spell crit.

fair enough, you are right it isnt very straightforward to just look at it for newer players. I apologize. However, wiki is incorrect and sometimes updated by morons as traps clearly scales with spell damage.

The only way to learn properly is to test yourself. Simply put on a bear trap gem and change stats to see if it affects it. I learned today that while it scales with spell damage it infact does not scale with physical damage, ironic because bear trap is a physical damage spell but only scales with spell damage.

Mind me asking why Add light dmg to Fire trap? Is it for the shock effect? If yes, I wonder if the duration is efficient enough.

Even then its still kind of confusion...

anything that increases 'spell damage' would up its damage, but not stuff of specific elements.
Bear trap does not deal spell damage, and is not affected by spell damage modifiers.

The character sheet shows the same stat set for all skills, as such it can't handle skills that are technically spells (due to not being attacks) but deal non-spell damage.

The actual skill popup will show the correct damage, because that's different and customised to each skill, so knows which stats to look at.

So according to a Dev, Spell Damage will not boost it, but the skill pop up should be accurate, and you are saying that does show it increasing...

As you said, probably just easiest to play with it in game and try and get a feel for it
How does Double Ice Spear compare to double Arc with summons in terms of Efficient Farming and speed

I know. I am not questioning your efforts or anything, just pointing out it is a beta and there are still somethings we might not be able to take at face value.
