[Strongest Solo Variation: Projectile Madness Spectres] LMP/GMP Ice Spear 2x Totem 2x Curse 3x Traps

Loving this build, level 76 at the moment and shredding 68 maps and below on Hardcore.

My stats:

4.3k hp
78 to all resists
-44 chaos resist

253 spreadsheet dps on Ice Spear with GMP.

35% Physical Damage Reduction (7k~ armor)

Running Determination, Purity, Arctic Armor, Clarity.
Curses: Ele weakness/Enfeeble.
Fire trap.

Would this BM Marauder version of the build work out well enough on HC?

The original post suggests both fire trap and bear trap. The problem with bear trap is that you need very high dex to max its level.

I'm currently running fire trap with concentrated effect and chance to ignite, and bear trap with culling strike and added fire damage. I'm only using traps for single-target damage.

Is it worth keeping both traps or using double fire trap instead since those are easier to level?

I use double fire trap, bear trap does great damage but it isn't worth it for the dex, plus fire trap can hit comparable damage with conc effect. Also since I went in the templar tree I have elemental damage nodes, not just spell damage, which benefits fire trap but not bear trap.

Nice build, i will try it. But i have one question... what do i choose in the quest dealing with bandits? At normal-difficulty the +40 Mana or the elementan resistances?
And on cruel/merciless? What reward díd u choose?

Ele resists get maxed from gear and then end up being useless from the bandit. Take the 40 mana (assuming CI build).

40 mana / 4% cast speed / skill point
Running the pure CI build at level 80, fantastic build overall.

I plan to spec out of the curse nodes since we usually have a dedicated curse summon witch in our group.

This is what I came up with:




More mana regeneration, more damage, more cast speed, more resists. Less max mana, less energy shield, less curse utility. Let me know what you think.

Powerful is defined differently.

Powerful CC - EP
Powerful dmg - CP

I like elemental proliferation, because freezing whole screens solid is awesome.

For damage crit multiplier is honestly better than cold penetration, except maybe on a +75% enemy cold resist map.
