[Strongest Solo Variation: Projectile Madness Spectres] LMP/GMP Ice Spear 2x Totem 2x Curse 3x Traps

Just putting the finishing touches to this build now and i must say its absolute ownage. The only annoying thing is keeping the spectres alive and not being able to see their individual health bars.

I like how on the dual spork thread post people say it's faster while on this thread dual spear is faster XD

Dunno who says spear is faster, it isn't.

Spear is safer, spork is faster.

Yes you should absolutely link spectres to GMP, without that they're pretty mediocre.

As for where to go, to my mind there are two basic options. Option one, go for the second body and soul circle, and pick up some of the other templar tree goodies while you're there.

Option two, go for more damage, crit, and crit multiplier.

I'm not sure one is clearly better than the other. The first option gets you an additional:
60% mana regen
8% mana
-7% spell mana cost
44% ES
20% resist all
41% elemental damage
19% spell damage
15% cast speed

The second option gets you an additional:
40% mana regen
15% elemental damage
19% spell damage
24% projectile damage (no benefit to trap damage)
18% cast speed
85% crit chance
80% crit multiplier

Anybody has thoughts abt the progression of option 1 regarding getting the 2nd body and soul at the templar tree or should we stop at elementalist and not take the 2 strenght nodes that leads to body and soul and instead place it in the energy shield nodes beside CI?

side note: how important is cast interruption for us?

I just realized I didn't take this node at all. I guess if you're playing with skeletons and spectres you should be rarely getting hit anyway, so I guess it's not particularly important? I went for crit and cast speed though, so that might have played a part in me not having much trouble with cast interruption.

6 points (counting the two 10 str nodes) gets you 44% ES, 10% res all.

6 points in the center (counting one 10 int node) gets you 42% ES (10 int is 2% ES).

So clearly the body and soul circle is better than the center circle. I'd rather drop that.

There's also 7 points getting you to nullification in the shadow tree. You may or may not need the 30 dex node, depending on your gear. If you don't need it though, those 7 points are getting you 36% ES, 10% ES recovery, and 10% resist all, 20% crit, and 36% evasion. If you need the resist all and/or the dex or you run grace aura, then this is better than the center ring. If you don't need the resist all or dex, and don't run grace, then the center ring is better.

So to my mind, there are two options:

1) drop 6 points from the center ring + int node. 4 go behind CI, 2 go in witch cast speed nodes, like this.

2) drop 7 points from nullification + runspeed + dex + crit. 4 go behind CI, 3 go in witch cast speed nodes, like this.

your name is about to be extinct bro.

You tried added lightning damage before. Why did you say it is not good?
Im using battery build. My ice spear totem currently has 0.4 cast speed with a 6L chest.
My idea is replace iron will by added lightning damage with 20% quality and some lightning passive nodes. So i will have about 30% shock on hit and 80% critical chance on 2nd form. Almost every hit can shock the enemies.
My 6L currently is ICE SPEAR+SPELL TOTEM+FASTER CASTING+CRITICAL DAMAGE+GMP, and this build should be only for battery because ci build/low life build do not have so much mana to spam totem. What do you think of my build?
Thank You.
