[Strongest Solo Variation: Projectile Madness Spectres] LMP/GMP Ice Spear 2x Totem 2x Curse 3x Traps

Excellent guide !

I m always looking for builds a bit "different" and had in mind a totem build so found myself in heaven in this thread.

currently lvl 39 following the notes and yeah ... as expected ... suffering.

I have just switched to double totem, both LMP + fast casting.
I m cursing forsbite and trying to find a gem for the other curse atm.

Just a question: What is making the DPS viable endgame and not middle game ?

Is it the bonus on wand and shield ? Or is it the high level power of ice spear ? Currently my totems are not doing awesome damage. Sure they are fun to play but they seem to struggle to take down ennemies. Is that my 2c stuff that's lagging or is it simply the way ice spear levels ?

Quick question about the newest variation. If you're using skeletons as a meat shield and having flammability to support fire damage, why not include minion instability? Seems like a potentially awesome 1-point investment. I'm no where near the level required to test it (only level 38 at the moment and just speccd into dual totems). Just a thought though!

Edit: Also wanted to ask - are you the hypershatter of anivia fame?

Yes, i am the same hypershatter from LoL. I am glad someone still remembers cuz its been a long while. are you from mobafire?

And for your question on minion instability, skeletons may benefit from the explosions, but that also means the spectres will die now at 30% (explodes), whereas without this mechanic i can slowly pot my minions back to acceptable health over time. The skeleton damage is marginal due to low health and not the key focus of this variation. Therefore not worth spectres dying earlier.

Hey thanks for the reply. Never thought about the considered the survivability issue that minion instability introduces. Too enraptured by the BOOM BOOM of the skeletons haha.

I actually saw your anivia guide on solomid (iirc.....might've been mobafire). I remember it cause it was one of the best written and most comprehensive guides I've come across. Very helpful with trying to learn how to play her...though I never did end up getting as proficient as I'd like with her >.>

I was becoming more interested in spectres so after looking at this update Im going to take 5 pts off of luxury build(4 on my way to buffs and 1 from +20 life)to be able to go after spectres passives to have best of both worlds.

I'm finally level 40 and going dual totem now, haven't even used totems while leveling. So I'm about to do a 5L for my totem and I'm guessing freezing pulse would be better around lvl 60 once I have my summon stuff? And summon boots?

Hum.. isn't it better to use Doedre's Damning instead of putting 3 points on curse cast speed and then another point on +1 curse?

With Doedre's you can cast 3 curses, so one doesn't rule out the other!

Extra ring slot is more useful than 4 points if you can get godly rings.

Hello , iam gonna try this build after i finished merc with my marauder.I have some questions 1) I want to go pure dual totem so which guide should i choose,i think is 1st one (classic) and 2) Can i use at 1st totem fireball and to second ice spear ?
Icy, both builds are the same, pretty much follow classic to 50 then switch and follow the other.

I can't find a 5l chest for the life of me, so I guess I have to go 4L chest. Now that leaves me with spell totem, gmp, ice spear, and the last slot being reduced mana or faster casting?
