Are you pleased with Purity change... if no how would you make it

I really would keep Purity as it is right now. The nerfs are needless.

The only reason Purity is sooo OP now, is because the DEVs gave us all those aura boosting nodes to compensate for the other auras being 60%'d.

With all the previous changes to Inner Force, Elemental Adaptation, and Purity's max added resists when is it going to end?

i just see it as a way to force me to make more choices...don't mind that one bit.

This patch is filled with unnecessary fixes. You don't fix what isn't broken. Charges look good, Purity was balanced, and aura's were working fine in their current state.

Now Purity is weak and terrible; and elemental resistances are in a worse state then they currently are.

You really want to correct what made Purity "Mandatory"? Fix elemental damage. Don't give me this shit about the game being "hardcore". This is the only ARPG I have ever played that capping all your resistances is a REQUIREMENT to play the game. It should be balanced around 30 to 50%, and everything else should be fluff, so that players can actually build tanks.

Cut down the anticipated resistances to around 30-50%, and make resistances rarer on gear/auras. Remove the resistance penalty, and make Ilvl 80 gear give 10% as it's best possible roll. Rebalance Elemental Damage so that running auras that give large amounts is not minimum survivability requirements, but extra survivability.

Logically: Physical Damage is balanced around the assumption that players will on average resists approximately 20-50% of the damage of a Kole Slam, so why is Elemental balanced around the assumption players will resist 75-88%?

How can people be pleased with it when they havnt even tried it?

Some people claim that they don't care about it because they never ran purity. I'm pretty sure that someone else in your group however was doing.

Another thing is that the new split gems are all different colours. For people saying 'I'll just swap in whichever one I need', good luck with having to constantly re arrange all your gems to fit the one you need, and even needing to have several gear sets with the correct colour slots to allow swapping them.

Turn it into a self-buff, rather than an aura.
1) Disallows the use of auras.
2) +60% all resists, incl chaos damage
3) +15% cap.


Only on standard though, hardcore and nemesis can go +6/+2% cap, don't really care.

No, not happy about it. Tired of the constant knee jerk nerfs and re-balancing. I don't even run purity on any of my chars, as I get enough from my gear, but I think the constant changes are really hurting the game and driving people away.

Just an FYI. This patch is just a net buff to me. I become stronger in every way from this patch, because I can run 10 auras, and was currently running a few auras that do nothing for me (like Wrath and Anger). I'm not complaining because this is making me weaker, rather it's going to give me 2% more all resist once I level the gems up. However; I fully see what this is going to do to everyone that isn't running such an extremely niche build. I think it would be blind of anyone to think this patch is good for the state of solo play.
