[1.0.2] Tri Element Trapper

**Updated the guide with quite a big change. Removed the need for Purity and Cloak of Defiance. Also changed the skill tree a bit.

After doing some number crunching, Cloak of Defiance was actually limiting my gear selection quite a bit. By getting an EV/ES chest with HP and some resists to make up for the loss of Purity, it definately gave back quite a huge chuck of mana by not reserving for Purity. Being so, I dropped the 5 points it took to connect from near the Scion tree in order to get the mana reservation cluster "Charisma".

I then spent 3 of those points to take the actual keystone for Mind Over Matter, freeing up two passive points to do as I wish.

By changing around some gear, and ditching Purity, I am now free to 6-link Fire Trap for even more explosive awesomeness...as well as I went from a 660 mana pool, to just over 1100...even more mana to soak up Mana Damage.

I feel a WHOLE lot tankier than I did before. I have quite a bit more HP, going from roughly 2900 to 3550. Having an almost double the sized mana pool before damage starts to fully 100% hit my HP, and I'm still at capped resists to top it off without Purity.

You wrote you support Cold Snap with Multiple Traps. Shouldn't that be Traps instead? Cold Snap is not a trap, so Multiple Traps won't work (at least I think so).

it becomes a trap when its link in the unique boots, basically it becomes a 5 link

@arkon

would a carcass jack work as a chest piece? hp/all res, but would the increased aoe be any benefit?
Hey first off, thanks for the wonderful guide arkon9944.

I play Nemesis a bit with a friend and was bored with other builds I had tried to make myself or found and this build (only done act 1 level 18 atm) and I love it. Its so much fun. I can only see it getting funner.

I'm curious on a few things. When leveling up am I looking for Wands or other 1h's? Shields or Spirit Shields. I was told from someone that Wand and Spirit shield were great for the added spell damage % you gain from them.

Any quick tips is much appreciated, again thanks for the guide!
Is Golem's Blood necessary, in your 111 point build? If not, you can ditch it along with Diamond Flesh to get 7 points which can then be spent on the Scion resistances and life node circle.

This would be the modified build.

The differences:

+6% to all Elemental resistances
+4% increased maximum life
-1.5% Life Regenerated per second
-20 Dexterity
Just curious, your build keeps picking up the Mind over Matter keystone.

Since it's already in the Cloak of Defiance unique, wouldnt it be a waste grabbing it? unless it stacks.

I was thinking about doing that as well, but the HP regen is pretty useful. Obviously 20 Dex does nothing as chance to hit and the + evasion of dex are both useless in this build. So it's 1.5% regen vs 6% resists and 4% hp. To be honest I'm not quite sure myself which way I'm going to go with that yet. I still have to spent a couple points on the large HP ring to the left of Scion before I make up my mind on that one.

Also, the two small aura nodes just top-right of the Scion tree in your build aren't really worthwhile. Since I took Purity out of the build, the extra 5% mana reserve doesn't really help that much so that should free up 2 points in what you linked.

On another note, I was also thinking of taking both of the 6% all resists nodes that we're already connected to. The one halfway between Scion and CI, and the other just above Iron Reflexes, and then taking 5 HP nodes. That would instead make the trade-off 12% HP vs 1.5% regen.

I got mine, which is a 40% dmg/27% fire resist for 8 chaos, but that was early in the league. I just helped someone from these forums get a 37% dmg/28% fire resist the other day and got it for 10 chaos.
