How does it look :


Type : Katana/Sword/

Why : because this sword really does exist and its a real rare item priced @ 10,000$ , it is also one of the most beautiful swords ever created (and very precise,well balanced)

Name : Musashi No Kami Fujiwara Tomotsune (this can be altered,its the original name of the smith who made it)

What roughly should the katana look like (ingame characteristics) :

-Most physical dmg/s of all the 1H/2H swords (might be altered to not be too OP)
-Can be wield in 2H and 1H too (2H wield does more dmg)
-No elemental dmg effects at all (on the katana)
-pure physical dmg
-very fast attack speeds
-only has 2 slots
-faster movement speed by 10%
-regenerates mana /chi/
-range of attack 69cm + arm length
-monsters will detect you only from real close ranges (while wielding the sword,3~5m,except bosses)
-evasion ratting increase
-control over all elements (gives bonus to applied elemental dmg from skills/might be removed)

Smoother than Smooth.
Since two main selling points of this game stem from Final Fantasy series it's only proper that it receives some tribute. These three uniques are partly inspired by items and mechanics found in FF games.

First one is pretty wellknown as a trademark weapon of a certain spikyhaired FF7 protagonist, goes with his trademark quote, too. Mods on it are a tribute to materia and limit break systems.


Second one is a recurring item in many FF games, mods are a combination of Godhand wielded by Rikku in FFX and Tifa in FFVII from which is the quote too. The unusual thing is always having four linked slots like FF7 Godhand, which a claw can't normally have.


Third is a PoE version of a Ribbon accessory which is a staple and a highly sought item in any FF game, the quote is an answer made by Aerith when asked about white materia of hers.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

where is the best place to look for POE lore?

Im thinking some more ingame orientated lore items would be nice.

I mean i found stuff. But if i could find out more that would be great.

They're largely thematic ideas, so not a lot of numbers in there. Also, boring names. I'm a theorycrafter, not a poet :P Ordered roughly by how much I personally like the idea.

An entirely alternate graphic for the Totem Pole would also be rad.
Centered around acquiring the +1 Totems passive and using a Ranged Attack totem by reducing the negative effects to some extent.

Blatantly intended for use with Rain of Arrows, with a side of Firestorm if you're into that sorta thing (totem with Firestorm + Flee for defense or something, and Cold Snap is also still available). Cold conversion is there because I have a thing for hailstorms in video games (blizzards are also acceptable), and it fits with Dexterity. EDIT: The arrows fly so far towards the sky they partially freeze, clearly [/retcon]. The flavor text is a joke.
The item would be angled upwards rather than down like other bows.

Melee Attacks strike one additional target

In my vocabulary, "target" includes everything, but that's optional. Regardless, a weapon that is most effective against multiple enemies, with a theoretically doubled chance to inflict status ailments (hello Static Blows, Blind). Suffers against spread and single enemies, is less likely to Stun, and blows with Lightning Strike.


Charge
One-hand Weapon
When you gain a Charge, x% chance to gain an additional Charge
x% reduced Charge Effectiveness

Again, obvious what the idea is. Reduces the strength of charges, which also effects your Discharge output (cast speed, crit chance), but you can stack them faster. Could be interesting as a Physical Wand perhaps, due to Power Siphon.


Crimson Gusto
Mid-level Claw, Dagger, or Axe
Medium damage, high-end attack speed
x% Life as Chaos Damage per second
High Life on Hit
When you kill an enemy, move faster for a short while
Gore

The malus is easy to negate with Chaos Inoculation... But then why would you use this thing and not something stronger :P

Enduring Flask
Duration of a couple seconds
Consumes all Frenzy and Power Charges
Grants Endurance charges based on nearby enemies
+Maximum Endurance charges

For the duration of the Flask, you'll have a large number of Endurance Charges, but these would disappear once the flask ends. Essentially a replacement for Granite/Enduring Cry, so it would probably have a fairly decent charge consumption. Consumes Frenzy and Power charges because I feel Granite Flasks need a(n additional) downside, and this is functionally similar (but has a lasting effect; Endurance Charges) :)


Flicker Strike
Sword probably
High-end damage modifiers
Melee hits have a chance to teleport the enemy away

Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_-
