DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]

But you forghet to factor in other parameters that influence your survivability. For example I may have "only" 4.3k HP (I'm at 4.7k now) but as a life based character, I can rely on potions.

Freeze isnt a problem, while you need to use Auxium, giving up on 24% potential physical damage.

My attack speed being much higher than yours means I have more mobility with whirling blades, which can help a lot when things get hot.

Your tree also greatly reduces the access to some crucial accuracy nodes, and I doubt you can reach the 94% chance to hit that I have at lvl87

Tbh 90% acc is all you really need, while of course 95% is better. I think the point he's trying to make varies from your is because he's focusing more on surviablity while your idea is DPS. Both very different play style. Personally I think 4k HP makes it a little difficult for endgame boss @ full party.
Hey, I have a question regarding the changes to the CoC. Now that the EK can't fire several times at the same time, does this mean that Critical Strike Chance for Spells on my weapons doesn't matter anymore? Or is it still as important as it was before?

edit: found the answer myself on page 128. Ek can't proc CoC beacause it is not an "attack"

Is there a difference in skill point allocation / bandit rewards for the discharge EK build?

ES also has this shield recovery that allows me to kite and heal up so quickly without needing any pots. The comparison never ends.

Auxium is chosen also because it gives an insane amount of ES. I looked at your vid and saw that your EK dps was 4.1K. That's a respectable amount. I went to experiment, and with a level 18 Added Fire gem my EK DPS is 4.5K. And that's with a shield as offhand.

Frenzy charges also gives me IAS, but really 20/20 Lighting Warp with Faster Casting would be just as good.

OK enough now of this high end speak,
tell me about viability of 5L on this build, I am entering merc now at lvl 53 and all seems nice and smooth

how much dps or how high maps could I expect to solo with mid range gear and 5L armor??

better off playing another build since this build does 1.5 times more damage with 6l than 5l
+u need a high crit dagger and at your level u will only reach like 40% crit where you will do hardly any damage
I'm asking for later. I've leveled with physical cyclone through most of cruel, but I saw that my gems simply cannot be all leveled properly so I've decided to go to CoC asap. In the beginning crit chance was at 45, it was sketchy but playable. Now I'm at 75% which is really nice and smooth.

Spoiler

But I'm wandering how high could I go (maps, level?) with 5L setup? Or should I get tabula and work on resists more?

This build can do maps 76-78 with 5L chest, no problem. With 6L i'm usually the biggest dps in group with fireball, can compete in aoe if i put ice nova, sometimes lose to guys lvl92+ with godly gear. I was using 5L not long ago and even if you lose around 1.5dmg multiplier of 6l and do only 2/3 of the build potential it's still good enough for end game.

If you get problem with reflect, thorn, big hits, try vaal pact. It's was hard for me to deal with lightning thorns and thorn shrine, but now i can't even feel these stuff.
