DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]

Obviously the EK stack is fixed. I copied this build and used PCoC+Discharge over the extra 2 Ek's. I'm currently face rolling the game. Except for the 5-6L chest this build is fairly cheap and straight-forward. Thanks for the guide this build is still a lot of fun!

Spell dmg is still not very high, but a perfect upgrade for me ;)

Indeed, EK-Discharge-PCoC gives the highest DPS combination.

face rolling the game until you join a group and everybody asks you to f off with the discharge... then you realize EK + discharge's DPS is overkill for solo play and that EK + whatever is more than fine.

Nobody will ask you to 'f off' if you are doing the most DPS in the group :) Those who do are prolly ones who set the display settings to the highest but do not have suitable specs to handle high FPS ^^ I have 75+ map groups and never once was I once asked to 'f off'. Instead they told me that I made the game such a faceroll since I tanked and DPS'ed.

First time I seen someone who rather do 'more than fine' DPS then 'overkill' DPS :D

Isn't the Danmaku build originally all about 'overkill' DPS with 3 EKs? :) After much testing, I conclude that the EK-PCoC-Discharge gem combo is on par with the DPS output of 3EKs. Unlike EK, which has the problem of hits shooting more to one side and less on the other side, Discharge's AoE is constant.

I am not spamming this thread, its too bad if you perceive it this way. I'm merely raising awareness about my EK-Discharger for fellow Danmaku players who want a change and output the insane DPS they once achieved.

Yes, yes we already saw your build, it's nice guide, you've linked it more then once here and in other threads, I think that was his point.

Speaking of which gear requirements seem pretty high there - you have to use 6L or clumsy and unchromable volls, right?

And if you want to use blood rage, to improve your discharge dps, you must stack chaos resi as well.

This seems like big turn off for me but maybe I'm wrong.

You pretty much have to use 6L.

If you read my guide carefully, my character is a CI build. So you basically run Blood Rage for free. And Blood Rage gives me Frenzy charges which increases Attack Speed for my Cyclone to proc, and also good fodder for increasing Discharge DPS.
