DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]

Is this build officially dead?

I mean, I do see post 1.05 single EK variations, I guess they are as good cyclone build as any, but wasn't main idea behind this build attack +CoCS +EK +EK +EK and now that has been irreversibly lost due to patch changes.

I know that build can work relatively well with single EK, but is it worth it to twist your entire build (projectile damage, crit nodes, spell damage) etc only to serve this single EK? Or use 2 sockets to gain chance to fire one socket for free? OK crit is good by itself but it's lot of sacrifice in gear in weapons, in nodes for single EK. Is it worth it at all?

In theory you could go resolute, forget crit, get as high attack speed as possible and use anger/wrath/haste, no?

Or keep crit, concentrate on good physical, forget spell damage /projectile damage nodes and be just badass dagger/crit cycloner?

So, I'll ask again, is this build officially dead or not?

Just look a few posts up and check MrPom's video/clip. If you still think it's dead..I don't know what to say.
Someone requested I post my gear so here it is:

As for almost ripping at piety, well, this is 77 piety, do you really expect me to take 0 dmg?

Been thinking about how the skill tree should look. I arrived at this, but I wouldn't mind a few opinions on it.

Guys how do you deal with Voidbearers if you have chosen the dual whield version?

I guess you can also try to sweep around to get to them not straight in their face/fire beam. Other than that, you could always do ungil's + stone of lazhwar and/or flicker strike + pcoc + faster attacks to "teleport" right in their face.
Thx mate, didn't know they are doing fire dam :) Always thought it's chaos damage xD I'll try that instantly.

You will miss the 30% chance to avoid stun from the heart of the oak. When i switched to vaal pact i spec'd out of it, regretted it and spec'd back into it. There's always that potentially dangerous phase with this build where you walking up to stuff taking ranged damage and not leeching off of anything. That's especially true vs bosses. Getting stunned there can get you killed. You can counter that to some extent by using flicker strike or spamming quicksilvers but even then the chance to avoid stun is easily worth the points imo. You also have zero life regen btw.

I dont think going right of blinding speed is worth it, thats 2 near useless nodes for that 12% life node. You're probably better off going for that life near pain attunement, or taking influence for a significant boost in DPS/armor.

Other than that it looks good. Personally i love vaal pact but thats a different story:

Anyone can confirm this build still works with the new patch 1.0.5?
