I don't have much of a story myself. I have ideas for an item but would rather wait until the devs are finished with act 3 and into OB. I also want to wait so I can better understand mechanics and gameplay that might come into play with act 3 as to better design the item.

Avatar is based on a similar photo I've used on other forums. I also am a summoning fanatic and since I will be playing a summoner the majority of my time in Wraeclast, a hideous, undead face just seemed fitting.

Do you know how long it is going to take me to get used to the new avatar as 'Charan'. The old one was burned into my brain!

Guess it looks like I'm in the same boat as many; I would go Diamond in a heart-beat if I were single. I think it's totally worth it for the things you get. But, with a wife and kid, I just can't imagine how I'd justify spending that much money on a single game. My wife is pretty understanding, but I don't see that conversation going over very well.

It reminds me of an interesting article I once read on the success of flat screen TVs, and how, for the first time since television sets were manufactured, women were actually driving the new purchase of TVs, likely because the new TVs were slimmer, more stylish, and almost like decorative status symbols for their homes. Unfortunately, I don't think ARPGs have quite reached that status.

At this point in the thread it looks like a very good idea to start up a finance company :D

For me, no solid ideas about avatar yet, haven't really thought about it.

I know some about my item but don't want to say anything except that it's a high level 1h axe. I don't think it will be in the game anytime soon and like others, prefer devs time spent on open beta.

The current upgrade system would work just fine if there was another level or two between Gold and Diamond.

I'd love to see the " 'overall contribution' over time " perk introduced. Although, it would probably take me a decade to eventually get to Diamond status.


It is so frustrating seeing the chance to design an item for a game slipping through my grasp...it doesnt come around often. So close yet so very very far. :-(

Look, in a previous thread, GGG are happy to make alternative arrangements to help people get Diamond level supporter packs, if they wish. I believe there was a previous discussion about arranging regular monthly/weekly payments? As long as you can get it arranged before OB launches. I'm not sure if supporter packs will still be available, but the Kiwi pets will be removed. So something to sleep over!

This sounds great. I can't seem to find the thread you're talking about using the search function, do you happen to remember what the thread was called?

Oh Charan, I love the new avatar. KiwiMan TO THE RESCUE! But thank you for showing off, and I hope I can get some more avatar and diamond supporters to post here. I saw the current collection in the other thread, but I didnt see any stories. It was more of a swag show, not show and tell.
