What the diff b/t a CI shadow and a low life shadow?
Sorry new to game, more specifically, what's CI mean? |

Hi is this more efficient with 2h weapons? I noticed the shadow build doesn't go for dagger passives.

" CI is Chaos Innoculation. Chaos damage normally bypasses energy shield and goes straight to your HP. Chaos Innoculation makes your HP 1, but you are immune to Chaos Damage. It's makes playing energy shield based characters safer because their HP pool is usually crap, so even a small Chaos hit can kill you. Low Life is quite different. There are a lot of advantages to being low life. First, it usually means you're running an extra aura with Blood Magic. More auras are always good. Second, there are some passive abilities and lots of gear that have certain affects when you are on low life. One example is Pain Attunement, which increases all your damage by 30% when on low life. This is really dangerous though, because you can't have Chaos Innoculation and low life at the same time. Your already crap HP pool is now at least 65% lower. This is why the unique chest Shavronnes Wrappings is so good. It makes Chaos damage hit energy shield and you get to keep your low life benefits. Hope that helped. |

" The low life char must pick the Zealot's Oath to get es regen in order to counteract chaos damage per second from blood rage. The CI passive tree is 95 points. CI char can still pick Zealot's oath after leveling up or exchange some damage points for Zealot's oath. If CI char wanted to farm high level map, i suggested getting some es regen. But the Zealot's Oath isn't only one method getting es regen. Shavronne's Revelation give 4% es regen per second. " You can still use these skills during leveling process. The differences are very small between witch and shadow. " In this build, your critical chance is very high. I think 5 power charges is enough. Discharge have been usually triggered before of getting 6 power charges. "Spell damage per power charge" node is as the words. If power charges are always remained at 5-7, it means you get 10-14% increased spell damage. A spell damage node is usually 6-8%. the node offered the more spell damage. But because discharge would consume all charges, the benefit of the spell damage bonus is the worse. So i didn't pick the node. Completed all challenges in OB and shared my experience. thread/464722

" It's very clear. You are a nice guy. :) PA seems to be changed to 30% more spell damage in low life. The physical damage build can't get any help from PA. Completed all challenges in OB and shared my experience. thread/464722

" The main damage is from discharge and not physical damage in this build. The physical critical chance would be too low if you didn't use the dagger. If the physical critical chance is too low, you are hard to trigger discharge. It means the damage will become very low. Completed all challenges in OB and shared my experience. thread/464722

" The method of getting life regen isn't only life leech skill. For example, decoy totem, vitality, or life flask in life build....etc. I thought In hardcore, if char didn't pick vaal pack, how good can the damage be? = how good the defense is. Your damage is limit according to your defense (life/es/resists/ar/ev..) because of the reflect mod. You can estimate your damage and then decide how much damage you can do and still be safe in the battle with reflect mod. I will post some information about spectral throw later. Hey sweet build, i've been looking for fun ways to use cast on crit and think i'm going to run this on the shadow i'm leveling in domination. As I don't want to respec all of my points I'm thinking about running something like this
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgAABbUOSBB7ES8RlhUgFdcZhhzcIWAotSmlKjgqTSsKLL8s6S2oNj06s0CgRnFHBk4qVmNbr19qb55wUnBWcNV08X_GgwmGrohCiGuQG5LNkvOTJ5mamhOdo6XLrEexkLQMtMW297fWvjrAUcEAwcXC7MNtykrN6teG2xrbWdvU3Q3jhOss62PsGO9O8h31S_yrY0MM8nC7oqPB81yKbRk74eL3pystH0yzUDCPplJTPV8shVoaouoS4bZB and then picking up a few of the aura nodes after. I have a 6link ev/es so can run life leech in the last slot for vaal pact. One question I have though, is how the single target dmg scales? |
