[1.1.0] Ghore's Immortal Incinerate Regen Tank (EB + Mind over Matter/Max Block/Max AA)

I do not mean to overstep the OP but I can help with these two questions.

"
Hi mate, I am trying a build inspired on yours and currently level 70. By what level do you think the needed nodes can be gotten? I still havent put a single point into any block one, for instance. Also, unwavering stance is a must, right?

US is not required with high enough HP and defenses. Even if you do somehow manage to get stunned it will be so short you will continue to cast incinerate at stage 3 (you can also swap targets and remain at 3). The "Stun" and "Blocking" pages on the wiki can explain more in depth. Block recovery can further reduce this but don't go out of your way to get it (imho from experience).

Question, does point blank work with incerinate since it is a projectile?

Point blank specifically states "projectile attacks" whereas incinerate is a "projectile spell" (check the gem tooltip for keywords). So no, it will not work with point blank.

I would say on most builds these days (HP builds that is, which is every build atleast for hardcore) you can forgo Unwavering Stance because typically they have very high HP with somewhere between pretty good to very good mitigation as well. So if they even managed to get stunned its for a fraction of a second.

I've never tried Incinerate without US so I don't know if it truly is mandatory or not but I would lean more towards yes. I know there are a few similar builds to this one that don't go near US so you can forgo it, but most will go right by it so unless you are extremely tight on points for some reason it should probably be picked up just for safety.

I'm not sure if it still works like this but I know you could potentially semi-stun lock yourself with very high block at one point in time.

This is actually my first build using a very high amount of block so I'm still figuring out the nuances of it as I go along.

And what about iron reflexes? I use a ES 6l chest so my armor is kind of low... should I pick it up?

It can definitely help out if you are in a group with someone that is running grace. I don't see there being anyway to run a grace yourself so that's where getting IR gets iffy with this build.

I see.

My last concern is about running discipline.. at level 15 it gives 245 ES, so it gives 245 mana.. but it reserves about 1.2k mana lol

Isn't it counter productive to run discipline then? Better running just clarity and having a bigger mana (and hence health pool, since it also adds to our survivability)

I just saw this, very similar passive and same build. For those looking for map play.

I believe he uses the Cloak of Defiance to save some points (wait, yes, says that in the video. My mistake)

EDIT: His overall HP seems a bit low. I have roughly 3k at level 53, I would hope to have more than 3.2k by the time I map.

Yep, similar and very solid build. Thanks for sharing.

Althought I do stand by my opinion that the Cloak of Defiance chest is better suited for builds that would benefit from MoM but either have a hard time getting to it, or simply can't feasibly get it from the tree.

While this build gets it towards the end it stills fairly easy to get to cause we go right in the neighborhood of it.

With that being said though I've never tried the chest so that extra 10% and a few points saved could potentially outweigh losing the stats of a "real" chest.

Personally, even with that 10%, I feel like having the pure stats of a really strong rare chest is optimal. Even if the build ended 15 points away from MoM, I feel that you could really benefit from some large amount of health and resists. It's probably a lot cheaper than a great chest, though, and the mana regen is certainly nice as something to use while you build up your gear.

Well, more max mana = more mana regen.

Anything over ~800-1000 mana un-reserved doesn't contribute to survivability via MoM. At that point, you've got the biggest mana buffer you need to cover the heaviest of hits and everything else should be devoted to regen. It's entirely possible to run Discipline to boost regen and still have 800-1000 mana to spare for soaking hits via MoM.
