imo that just mean you can customize it regarding to your stuff, pros and cons. Follow the general path but be sure to grab any temporary nodes you could possibly need atm.

@Pohx : With the DoT's patch, and new nodes, would Poison Arrow on Trap be usefull ?

I'm sure you could, you would have to use a bow though & USe things like ele hit or some other means, possibly Explosive arrow all on traps lol, could be quite fun

For the crit build, why not go for crit multi nodes? You would get even more dmg and make the build cheaper, by not relying so much on items with crit mult.

And are the evasion nodes really necessary? I mean, you already have AR, EV from your items, Grace, end charges and granite flask. You could also have molten shell for added protection. You move fast, you freeze with cold snap...

I'm just curiously asking, because i haven't tested this yet.

Evasion is absolutely required if you plan on not getting stun locked by everything,
I'm not using a granite/jade in my build

Molten shell is armor based and not Evasion and i'm not interested in manually casting it with this many active skills.

Crit multi is an option once I get the points to move around a bit, Still testing the DoT changes to see how much they give overall

I know Molten shell is arm based, but your build (and mine) uses IR, so...But yeah, manual activation sucks, in this case. :\

About the stun locked thing, have you tested this (no EV arm nodes)? It's hard for me to believe that with 3500-4000 hp + mana shield + AR + grace (with IR) you'll get stunned so much. And high mobility + freezing power should add to the defense strategy of any trapper, imo.

ps: my final build will look like this (i'm lvl 50 atm): http://tinyurl.com/naftgk3 But i'm using a different gem setup (lightining warp instead of fire trap). Get shock stacks with lighting trap, freeze everything with cold snap and finish with lighting warp (with multiple traps gem). At least in theory...:)

You lose 70% Evasion Which lowers your armor By SO MUCH while you're soloing with grace, also the only other route you would take would be

Your armor would be around 4k while soloing depending on your gear, with an armor of that value white mobs can stun you so easily.

That being said you don't have to follow my build exactly, if you're running party play with aura's you can still hit over 10k Armor w/o The passives

You can't always freeze bosses, / Crazy movement speed mobs that hit you before you throw the cold snap, it's not like you can do much with the points aside from spec into damage

The only reason i went that part of the tree was the crit chance and multi nodes (esp the multi nodes) available there. I feel the crit multi on your crit build is a bit low, even with items; but maybe i'm wrong. After all, this is my first crit build, but i've seen most crit builds have a lot of multi.

As for stun, if that's the case, maybe i could use that to my advantage, with a cast when stunned + molten shell + curse (temporal chains?)? If not, if this doesn't work, i guess i could remove 5 points from the High Explosives trap cluster and put them into the evasion nodes...I think the crit multi nodes at the bottom right part of the tree are still more powerful than the High Explosives node.
