=[1.1.3]= The New Overpowered (UPDATED!) New Build HERE!
I've been doing evasion builds for a long time, ever since pre 1.0.0, when evasion was even 'lacking'(bullshit). So yes, I am not surprised this is a base for the new overpowered ;P
There is one thing that bothers me. You list only beartrap as a con, but aren't all physical spell casters a complete pain? Unless you go with spell block, there is not much you can do against them. I'm talking about Evangelists, EK casters, and whatever not. Since you did not list physical spell casters in your Cons section, or put any spellblock nodes in your core set up - how do you cope with those? I am a nice guy.

" ya very interesting. posted some suggestions in his thread. honestly ceryneian i think we've been changing the meta since before the new year. its undeniable how powerful this combination is and now that more people are starting to see the power of the ranger start and see uniques being tailored to our builds basically, people are flocking. if you build it they will come! i don't watch or keep tabs on streamers or anything but ya keep me posted if more people start adapting this playstyle, would be very interesting indeed " ya evasion has always been very very underrated, and this thread was made when 1.0 hit once they buffed spell dodge just because that pushed it over the tipping point. i only put beartrap as a con but yes every physical spell is somewhat of a danger, depending on the situation. but usually those other spells are not in such a mass scale to immediately threaten your life, or be able to one shot you so you can always face it, realize what you're up against and pop a granite. bear trap however does have those capabilities. you won't always see it coming and it will do like 3/4 your hp if you're not ready with endurance charges/granite. at that point anything can finish you off (but usually never happens). i have gone back to a bit of spell block in my build which definitely helps, but really those vaal constructs and stuff never are a huge threat because they will NEVER hit all at the same time. if they did you MAY die, but they won't so any damage taken is just soaked up by instant life leech via vaal pact or LGoH or even potions, w/e you have. Yes, it takes a high profile streamer or a build of the week for the regular masses to shift. As you point out, I'm not sure if that is a good thing anymore - not only does it raise prices of our gear, it also encourages nerfs and counters from GGG.
I really do hope armor and IR stay more popular in the meta. XD
hey thought ill leave a thanks for the template, and leave my build/gear for ppl who want maybe some inspiration should be very similiar beside lightning coil to that invasion ranger split arrow / frenzy / evasion dodge build is what i play aswell gear

JunKx,
Back in Pre 1.1 you provided a Trapper build you were contemplating with this core, did you ever test it out? I want to try out a trapper and I think this would be a good place to start, just not sure if I want to go that route if it will not be viable in maps.
" nah i didn't, started making a crit puncture ranger instead but really haven't focused on anything other than my main here. i really want to fully optimize the character gear and build. i just need to finish crafting 2 rings and get darkray vectors with +1 frenzy charge then i should be all set and probably be happy enough to start on something else. i think i ditched the concept because i wasn't happy with the tree, but its probably still viable. im just not familiar with trappers and stuff so i wasn't satisfying my own perfectionist attitude towards the build. if you know your way around trappers how they work and whatnot i'd say definitely try it. you don't have to start at ranger but going evasion/dodge/block is definitely available. could probably use rathpith and grab up a bunch of spell block as well as dodge too in order to really make yourself tanky. then its just the damage you'll need to worry about. also Rufnet i see you have vectors with +1 frenzy...you son of a.... you must transfer over to standard immediately and give me those boots :D i've attempted 20 times total so far and have only gotten 3 pairs of boots with any implicit at all. 3% dodge (currently using) 4% chaos resis and cannot be knocked back. not bad but not in the same ballpark as another frenzy. also tweaked my tree slightly. took out heart of oak/stun and block recovery node for 2 more passives. leveled up which gave me a 3rd. i took it out because i hardly get hit as it is, so i really don't need to worry about stunlock anyway. the regen is decent, adding about 39 life per second but not needed with my LGoH and the 4% hp only gave me something like 60ish hp in total. i contemplated getting Crystal Skin, Avoid Chill and Avoid Freeze but that would really be situational use on only a couple of bosses which i can avoid or deal with in other manors anyway. i don't really need more damage at this point either, so i decided on the added accuracy/movement speed cluster south of ranger start for +36% accuracy and +9% movement speed. this gives me a total of 70% movement speed with max frenzy and upped my chance to hit by 3%, which in turn ups my life leech and my DPS so i refreshed the front page with the updated numbers. broke 75k single target dps. doing so without crit is pretty cool but ya i understand im pretty decked out now. i should break 80k once i get that last frenzy and finish leveling all my gems. edit: put in a level 90 plan, which will be to get the +26% hp +20 str nodes above mid frenzy charge to boost my total hp up to +228% which, after completing my rings, should give me a total hp of around 4,800 which would be fantastic Last edited by iRace82 on Mar 29, 2014, 11:01:20 PM

i have done it - i now have ***10*** Frenzy charges.
got my darkray vectors with +1 frenzy and man is it incredible. boosted my dps 6k alone and +1 attacks per second. funny how my frenzy DPS still does not outscale dual strike, but the attack speed is much more awesome to hear and see, plus works better for LGoH. but for raw power DPS dual strike is still best for dual wielding. my movement speed was also upped to 75% while full on frenzy, which is amazing. im super fast and if i were to upload videos of mapping i think people would assume i uploaded at fast forward speeds, lol. Looked at various threads here, making a Frenzy Dagger crit build.
Using: Wanna get: BoR Blood Dance with +1 Frenzy Rathpith Hilarity insues. Frenzy/Splash/Multistrike/PCoC on the BoR, obviously :) Ideas on the tree/gear that I'm missing? [3.22] 💀The Grim Reaper💀 - Hexblast Poison Mines Assassin

what is the price of darkray vectors on ambush?
I neeed one. do you sell JUNKX??
draud i have no idea bout darkray vectors on ambush other than there is one pair with +2 frenzy charges on ambush but i doubt he'd sell them lol. i don't play ambush so no i don't have any to sell or anything.
CantripN one problem i see with your idea is mana cost. in BoR frenzy with those supports will cost about 90ish mana to cast. obviously with 9 frenzy charges (+23% atk spd per charge when using frenzy) your attack speed will be large and you'll probably be looking at 3 casts per second with that gear, meaning 270-300 mana per second. you will not be leeching that back in time, i don't see that as being possible. im also going to respec my duelist for a new build based on this template. kind of a merge between my build and Ceryneians amazing max block/spell block build. I will be using THIS BUILD with soul taker, BoR, 10 frenzy charges and a legacy Saffell's Frame. this will effectively give me 60% dodge, 50ish% evasion, max 95% projectile evasion, 0% block, 74-75% spell block, 30% spell dodge, 80% resistances and about 5,200 total hp while still maintaining about 20-25k AoE DPS with LGoH. i love my build and its super fun but im overdone on physical damage. i do not need 50% block while having 60% dodge and 45% evasion (with grace) yet i could use more spell mitigation since i only have 27% spell block and 30% spell dodge. im still pretty vulnerable to big spell damage and my DPS is overkill, so i'd like a fallback tank to really tackle things my current character cannot. i think my proposed idea could be one of the tankiest characters in the game with so much spell mitigation AND having instant life leech with LGoH and very large atk spd, probably around 16 atks/sec. i may try to acquire blood dance boots with +1 frenzy and use those over the darkrays for the added hp regen, which would still give me 9 frenzy and 11.5% hp regen per sec (12.5% with heart of oak) which would be 600(650) regen per second on top of regular life leech AND LGoH if need be. this could potentially be the tankiest character in the game. i think 5200 hp is high enough to not get one shot by anything including atziri when resistances are 80%, 90% with flasks. this will be my character that i'll most likely do all my atziri attempts and uber atziri with, when the time comes. all i need is 54 regrets to get it rolling. 34 for the tree and 20 for a new bandit reward :D edit: if i used the blood dance boots over darkrays i wouldn't have 60% dodge, i'd only have 40% dodge and like 50%ish evasion. in theory however this should still be very adequate vs physical damage considering i can still use enfeeble for reduced accuracy, and then when i hit them they'll be blind (75% reduction in accuracy) meaning my dodge and evasion should be enough to avoid physical damage well enough without block being needed. again...evasion, dodge, block, enfeeble AND blind is just overkill for physical dmg. at this point literally the ONLY thing that can kill you is spell damage. thats what im going up against now with my current build so i want to shift my defenses on this other character more towards spell damage Last edited by iRace82 on Mar 30, 2014, 5:28:19 PM
