I didn't read the whole 14 pages but it sounds as if the OP might want to head over to the suggestions forum and ask for e.g. a "fig leaf" microtransaction. Apart from GGG being inclined or not to create it, this would solve the problem, could be provided by GGG and be available for others, too. :-)

To be fair, a large part of it is my fault. I should have known better than to have a differing opinion online.
