Community Question: Why don't you play public parties?

=haven't read the posts before=

1) i do a lot of public parties if i'm bored (i talk to all people and trust them)
2) most of the time i use global chat and friends list (my friends list is full atm)

I think it is human nature to want to play solo or with only a group of trusted "friends". I would be interested in stats on minutes spent playing in those fashions, versus with strangers. I suspect the latter is less than 10% of overall game hours.

Even in a relatively friendly "stranger grouping" game like WoW, look how fast groups break up after the objective is accomplished, particularly during grinding.

Instances/Maps being a slightly different (but not too different) story.

All IMHO.

1. FFA loot system

2. Internet douche bags.

3. The game (so far) is designed so you can solo and isn't geared toward forced grouping.

Yesterday I got sick of the default crap and went back to legacy. First click on the board and there is a 5/6 maps party going, snap the first ninja's atitude and then we went 4 hours non stop partying with every map we would drop without splitting the party in many directions. It was fun, cool and careless.

Guess what, no1 is going after some1's neck or dying because some1 stole a GCP or anything in legacy. Create the same ambient in default and it will work - a.k.a. loot option set by party leader.

Just because i want to play at my pace, which is ultraoften not the pace of the ppl i can meet in public games.

Pace = Time in the day and / or game speed.

I have my own friends list for multiplayer and it's the same for them.

FFA is reason

I'm poor as hell and can't help getting pissed when I miss a good drop. I also like playing at my own pace and sometimes spend ages swapping round gear/gems. But mostly the FFA loot thing.

i dont play parties because im not hardcore enough to let other ppl bossing me around like little bitch

i enjoy my own peace of farming
