Question: Why take Arcing Blows when you say that it is a 100% pure physical build? Does it add lightning damage from physical damage?
If yes, why not use the hatred aura for an extra 20% cold dmg from your physical value? I'm personally only level 38 with the broadstroke quiver and a 98% physical damage bow (56-148 dmg) and it gives me an extra 80 dps. |

" Oh whoops, good thing you told me! that was most likely a misclick on my part when i updated the build recently! May have been tired and not paying attention, sorry for that. Yep, hatred can work very well with this build, i just never used because i wanted to stick with the brief "Pure physical" anyone's free to use it, should give you a lot more dps and you can shatter enemies instead of stunning them, thus resulting in cool critical strike effects! It looks nice, I may use it as my main.
I'm pretty much just getting started again, played in CB but not since June. I'm on hardcore and just starting out and cannot decide on which build or even class to start with. All I know is I want to use a bow! couple questions/observations: 1) I noticed your build has all 111 points used, wouldn't it be better to limit it to around 83-90 which is where you would be after finishing merciless and perhaps a few extra levels. 2) I've played a few characters up to 7-10 in hardcore and managed to get a GCP and 2 Chaos along with a couple other lower rank currency items. Any gear or gems you would recommend I trade for if I was to start a new ranger with your build? (items that can be used at low level and for a while, unique bow with no level req?) Thanks! |

How do you get mana? I'm having to use flasks at low level nonstop

" My pleasure :) If I may ask, I have about 4 passive skill to set and just started the cruel difficulty. I don't think that I have defenses problems at the moment so I keep two of the life nods available in case of need. I'm level 38 and have 304.6 dps with normal arrow and about 459 with frenzy, 272 mana (of which 162 is reserved for hatred and grace aura). 950 hp and 50 energy shield, 2569 armor. What would you go for next? My current passive tree: Edit: If I had to place one point to get a 30 int nod to be at peace with the fact that hatred needs some intel to level up, which one would you remove from the original plan? I had my doubts about physical damage build performance at around levels 30-35. I did have low damage, leech was joke, mana management was nightmare and it was all going from bad to worse. I found a good weapon and picked up a pace. I'm now lvl62, rocking in Act2 Merciless at the moment.
I definitely suggest you trade for good bow. There is no point in crafting early, you are better off to trade your currency for decent weapon. You can use your Alch or Chaos Orbs that you pick up along the way to buy nice weapon that will make the life much more enjoyable. So to all aspiring physical damage rangers, keep up the faith and rock on. My build is slightly diffeent that Victor's but the basics are the same: |

Cant find aswer anywhere...
Im 16 lvl ranger now and i'd like to ask about gems levels. Should i keep their levels as high as possible or stop leveling at certain moment? Atm i use burning arrow for single target and roa for aoe. thx |
